Nice house in a very quiet place. Because you 'live' next to French people, you may hear sounds. Nice cottage. We had the misfortune that the first few days were chilly, so it stayed chilly inside. Heater would be nice. But goo...

Beautiful rural cottage in a lovely quiet area. The house is fully equipped, such as a lovely shower and dishwasher. Jaap and Anita welcome you with open arms, including a cool drink on arrival, they also want to help/think along to make the stay as pleasant as possible. We barbecued together, which was very nice. You can also stay here with a 9-month-old child. There are several lakes nearby where you can swim. We look back on a cozy and wonderful stay where we could really relax.

Anita and Jaap, thanks so much for the wonderful stay in Gite Anita. I rated it so highly as it was exactly what we (myself, my husband and our almost two-year-old son) wanted and needed. In the middle of nowhere but yet max 15 minutes from Emouytiers (with lovely bars and restaurants). Each morning we would have a tradition of getting up and going to the lake for a run/swim. Both lakes, about 15/20 minutes away) Plage de Nergout and the lake at Chataneuf le Foret are just fabulous and when you go there early in the morning, you will be the only people there. The evenings were spent on our lovely terrace watching the sun set. The place itself was clean and cozy. Anita and Jaap went out of their way to advise and help in any way. They even child-proofed the house for us. And the neighbours were so lovely - bringing us fresh fruit and veg from their garden.
We also thoroughly enjoyed our BBQs and 'borreltjes' with you.

We were there for three weeks and were concerned that we would get bored - not in the slightest. I really do hope we return. It was really a time and place to be mindful, appreciative and reminded me of what is important and beautiful in life. A proper get away from the hustle and bustle. Highly recommend!

This has been the perfect holiday destination for us. The nature in the area is beautiful and the cottage is very quiet. We had nice evenings on the terrace in front of the house, but could also use the larger communal garden. The gite is cosily furnished, has a spacious kitchen with everything you need and there is a lovely shower. There are lakes nearby for swimming and the nearby village of Eymoutiers is lovely and cozy. For those looking for a quiet holiday in nature, this is a very nice place.

we spend one week during the heatwave of Juli 2019 in your wonderfull authentic stone cottage. Thanks to the 1/2m thick stonewalls it was always cool inside. We enjoyed the very tastefully choose interior with beautiful details, the big kitchen with top standart equipment, the friendly neighbors, cats and dogs, and of course you both, always being exceptionally friendly and helpful at any needs.

Very nice gite. Nice reception with a drink. Quiet place. The sufficient places described on the site for plenty of privacy were a bit disappointing for us because you could not sit completely freely.
