Holiday home Gite Four a Pain is a beautiful authentic baker's house in hilly surroundings in Villemonteix, municipality of Eymoutiers in the Limousin

In the middle of the green hills of the Limousin is this 120-year-old cozy baker's house that the French call a four a pain. It is a comfortable, recently renovated attractive accommodation for two people. On the floor are authentic large granite stones.

Holiday home Four a Pain is located in the middle of the nature reserve "Parc Naturel Regional de Millevaches en Limousin". The Dutch owners have transformed the  former baker's house in authentic style into an attractive modern holiday home.

The living/dining room has a small kitchen with 2 hobs and a fridge. For hot water there is a boiler. The house has a lovely terrace. A toilet and shower are privately available for you in the building across the street, 5 meters away. There are plenty of places for plenty of privacy. There is also a large lawn. The French neighbors Jeanne and Andre are very cordial and grow their own vegetables. Small livestock such as ducks, rabbits and chickens are also kept. They regularly surprise  the guests of Gite Anita  and holiday home Gite Four a Pain with vegetables from their own vegetable garden.

Holiday home gite Four a Pain  is located in the countryside in the Limousin and part of the picturesque hamlet of Villemonteix (municipality of Eymoutiers) with nine farms, some of which are still active. The area is ideal for those seeking peace and quiet and invites you to take walks and bike rides on the mountain bike. Good chance to encounter a deer, wild boar or fox along the way. The holiday home has a mountain bike that can be used free of charge.

If you want to swim, you will find a lake with a sandy beach within a 10-minute drive. Lac de Vassiviere- one of the largest lakes in France - is half an hour away. Water sports are possible here and also an adventure park for climbing high (and low for the little ones) via ropes and clambering between the trees. Supermarkets and other shops are 10 minutes away in Eymoutiers and Chateauneuf de la Forêt.
In the weekends, in the villages in the Limousin, which are so typical of the Limousin, there are often vide greniers (flea markets), marches de producteurs (markets with local products) and cozy fairs. Here you can relax at long tables with a glass of wine and barbecue with live music among the locals and other guests. There are also plenty of restaurants, where it is great food for €14.25.
