We had a fantastic Christmas holiday with you!!
What a warm welcome we received... When we entered it turned out that the Christmas tree had been prepared for us. Beautifully decorated (the edible decoration was literally to the liking of our daughters), the lights on... So cozy! The whole house was completely in Christmas spirit, lights everywhere.
As far as the weather is concerned, we were unfortunately a bit less lucky.
Unfortunately we only had snow 2 of the 14 days but the girls (8) managed to make a nice Olaf (and your rabbit Dizzy liked his nose very much, it turned out ;) the next day) and went sledding.
It's nice that you have so many sleds, so you didn't have to take them with you.
But we have now learned to take the weather and despite the much rain we had, thanks to your good tips we were still able to make nice trips on the dry days.
Scandinavia's largest amusement park, Liseberg, in Gothenburg was fantastically beautiful with the cozy Christmas market, all those beautiful lights and the beautiful ice show! Highly recommended at Christmas time!
The viewpoint Hyltenäs Kulle with ruins of the old hunting lodge from 1917 which once stood there, beautiful hiking trails and the beautiful view over the 3 lakes was definitely worth a visit.
The girls really enjoyed being able to ride horses on Mexxy. Their first time... And then also in the dark... Quite an experience!
Your cottage is located in a beautiful, quiet, wooded area, we enjoyed the many forest walks.
Unfortunately, the forest dwellers were also on holiday it seemed...
In addition to the walks and outings, we also relaxed in your beautiful, atmospheric, clean, neat, comfortable and quietly located cottage.
We have not experienced any nuisance from the biotoilet in terms of smell, hygiene, etc.
(Actually, all homes should have such a toilet without flushing with clean drinking water'.)
We also found showering in another building (where the washing machine and dryer are located) no problem at all. It is clean and for the cold months there is a heater.
In short, we enjoyed your lovely house, the peace, space, nature, the holidays and each other and can only say that we have had another fantastic holiday in our beloved Sweden.
We couldn't have started 2018 better!!
We would love to come back in the summer to admire your paradise even in warmer temperatures and to be able to go swimming in the nearby lake!
