Downstairs was more than adequate for our family of 2 adults and two children aged 7 and 12 and a dog. We had a number of cold and rainy days when the house became very damp and clammy, there are dehumidifiers for that. Wood-burning soapstone stove also offered wonderful comfort. Kitchen is well equipped, but there are no products in the cupboard. You really have to buy everything yourself, including dishcloths and salt. For our dog it was a nice environment to walk. For children, on the other hand, there was not much to do in close proximity. In the village there is also no playground anywhere. There is also plenty of wood available for a wood stove. Outdoor terrace is spacious with plenty of garden chairs. The disadvantage is that there is no covered part, so you can't sit outside when it rains like you can on the upper floor. There is no fence around the house, so your dog (or small children) cannot run loose, because there is a road along the house, where many hikers walk along and mountain bikers come down at a good speed. Furthermore, you are really between the trees, wonderfully green with the occasional squirrel here and there.
