Because we both have roots in Friesland, we feel here always very at ease, right from our first holiday here in 1998. The charm of Gaasterland is the combination of water and rolling forests, romantic villages and towns. To buy a holidayhouse here was our dream. We value the privacy of the large plot, and the quietness, and singing birds. Still the main facilities are all nearby. The cottage has just been totally refurbished and adapted to the times.

A lovely cozy and warm cottage in a quiet rural location. A large garden with unobstructed views. Not far from the beaches where you can go for a walk.
Thank you!
We were there over the weekend and enjoyed the stay to the fullest! Really a totally idyllic spot on earth. We sat a lot in the garden, barbecued and enjoyed the sun. Thank you very much and we would love to come back! :)
Thank you very much!
The cottage has a cozy living room but is otherwise quite basic. A few meters next to the cottage, the owners are setting up a second facility. If, like us, you like seclusion and privacy, this is no longer the most suitable lo...
This small house is intended as an extra guest house for the tenants in the 'big' house!
And by the way, there is still 2000m2 of garden left, if there would be other people at all.
The cottage was fine for each other.
Point of criticism, cleaning could be better in and certainly around the house
A quiet place to stay there.
Charming cottage with a lovely big garden. Wonderfully quiet location. We enjoyed a few days.
Cozy cottage and wonderfully fresh on hot days.
A deafening silence and peace.
Friendly people in the area.
Tip: a clothesline
Thank you
Beautiful cozy dike house with all comforts. Close to the Belgian border for visits to Bruges and Ghent. Friendly manager, is easily accessible for questions and flexible. Tall people are likely to bump their heads from time to...
Good location for beautiful bike rides.
Comfortable. Could use a small upgrade upstairs with double glazing.
Yes, it's going to happen in the foreseeable future!
We spent a week in Malpertuus, a cute old house. But it does need maintenance. The cottage was cozy, but cold and damp. Our medicines stuck in the box. We had some cold, wet days and had the gas heater on in the kitchen in the ...
Hi, you guys didn't hit it with the weather; Too bad it didn't work with the stove: didn't you ask the manager for help? She really could have arranged this for you.
Yes, the window frames upstairs are in the making, doubl...
Even with that heat, a wonderfully cool house. Also nice and quiet, depending on the wind you can hear the provincial road early in the morning. With the cat ideal because the house is located on a large piece of private proper...
