We enjoyed the holiday home wonderfully. The large garden with trampoline, 'swimming pool' and the beautiful canopy of wisteria where we could enjoy a glass of wine every day and evening. A quiet place to relax. The holiday home is spacious and equipped with everything you need!

It is a lovely house where we (2 couples with children between 5 and 7) had a great time. The house is nice and secluded and is fully equipped. The thick walls and shutters provide coolness. The large trampoline and also the 'cow drinking pool' were a great success with the children. An evening of playing cards in the cozy garden with the fire bowl on was also great.

This old farmhouse is ideal for a family with children (ours are 4, 6 and 8) that wants to enjoy the tranquility. The trampo, water bowl and spacious garden entertain the children themselves, while the parents quietly read a book on a sunbed. In case of bad weather, there are plenty of games available. We enjoyed it despite the fact that it was not always nice and sunny.

Me, my partner and 1.5 year old daughter were here in October. House is very spacious and in the summer months it is probably very good to stay in and around the house! Unfortunately we only had rain (was also to be expected in October). Even then, it's nice to be in a big house. Unfortunately, there is little else to do in the area. The tourist shops that are open in the beautiful months were closed and the surrounding villages (really a drive away) seemed deserted. House is also secluded, so if you want to do something (also groceries) you have to drive at least 15 to 30 minutes.
I think the cleaning costs of 150 euros are quite high. Especially since guests have to leave the house tidy and clean. Right down to swiping... It is not clear to me what I pay 150 euros for (never before spent so much on cleaning costs for a house). So that was very disappointing.

We had a wonderful week in the quiet cottage 'Le Cochon Volant'.
The cottage is located in a lovely rural area and is an easy 7-hour drive from the middle of the Netherlands with a few small toll roads.

We had a wonderful week in the quiet cottage 'Le Cochon Volant'.
The cottage is located in a lovely rural area and is an easy 7-hour drive from the middle of the Netherlands with a few small toll roads.

We felt right at home and found it a very spacious and complete cottage that is equipped with all comforts. We cooked easily at home almost every day (due to Covid-19) and could easily make anything through the complete kitchen (including pancakes with Dutch syrup). The cottage has two living rooms, but because there were only two of us and we mainly sat outside, we didn't make much use of them.

The area around the cottage is nice and quiet, you only hear the birds, the wind and the occasional stray farmer on his tractor. Despite the rural surroundings, there are several authentic villages with a supermarket, restaurants and bakery only a 10-15 minute drive away, which is normal in France. We mostly visited the village of Corbigny and Clamecy (the latter mainly for its excellent bakery (Meignen Christian). The cottage is also about a fifteen minute drive from the large natural park du Morvan.

The terrain is quite large and you can sit on either side of the house and look for the sun or shade. On one side you have a view over the hills with fields.

We enjoyed the cozy terrace. The spacious garden has sun until the end of the day (even in September), as soon as it went down we could use the outdoor fireplace.

When we come back to this region, we like to stay in 'Le Cochon Volant' again.

The biggest compliment is coming back for a second time! We went seven years ago and it was just as great now as it was then. It is difficult to describe what makes this house so different from other houses on this and other sites, but after consultation we have to say that it feels like a home.

Quiet neighborhood and quiet location with plenty of small and large trips within half an hour's drive. A complete and cozy house that is clearly not primarily for rental but is so that a family can use it themselves. I wish we had a house like that.

We had 4 wonderful days with our children and grandchildren in Le Cochon Volant. The house is very cozy and is located in a wonderfully quiet place in Burgundy. You have to like this peace and quiet, there is not really anything nearby: bakery is about fifteen minutes drive from the house. We had beautiful weather and the house has a lovely garden where it is good to stay for young and old. Highly recommended for such a short holiday!
