At first glance it was a bit disappointing; Not in terms of location, but in terms of care around the holiday home (unkempt). Everything is present inside; some things are dated (e.g. the available information about Frankenau and the surrounding area; a drawer with all kinds of folders, but very messy); Lots of household tools available (old things can be cleaned up at least once). Garden furniture partly needs to be replaced.
Despite these comments, we did enjoy the house and the surroundings; Especially the tranquility and the opportunities to walk/visit old towns etc. made it a nice week.

We had a wonderful week in the cottage of Mr. Hasewinkel. The cottage is super clean and literally everything is there. Outside we found it a little less. The garden chairs were not all intact anymore and I think the bench at the back is always outside so we didn't sit on it. Furthermore, the surroundings are beautiful, walking in the beautiful National Park which is directly behind the cottage, the Edersee half an hour away etc. For the children it was a pity that there is only a cable car in the park and it is at the reception, about a kilometer very steeply down. By the way, the service of the landlord is top-notch!

We had a pleasant stay in this holiday home, which is fully equipped, more than enough crockery and cutlery, all kinds of kitchen appliances, etc. Great beds. You can walk the dog straight into the forest, where you can walk for hours.
The park itself is quiet, but has few facilities. Which was not a problem for us.

We had a few very nice days in this holiday home. The location is fantastic and the house lacks nothing.
One day a nice walk in the snow and the next a visit to the Edersee and Waldeck Castle in the sun. And in the evening...

One day a nice walk in the snow and the next a visit to the Edersee and Waldeck Castle in the sun. And in the evening we had a nice meal in the restaurants of the village.
A small problem on arrival was immediately taken care of by Bas and the contact person on site.
We enjoyed it and worth repeating.

Also the house was well cleaned. A point of improvement could be a shelf in the shower for the shampoo. The cottage is also complete, even a bicycle pump is available. Our compliments for this house.

Spent spring break 2017 in Frankenau. Had a wonderful week with our family in the clean and very complete and cozy home of Mr. Hasewinkel. Great beds. You can walk straight into the woods from the park, beautiful surroundings. In the town of Frankenau there are a few good restaurants where you can eat delicious food for little. We made nice trips, including to the Edersee, swimming pool in Bad Wildungen, Frankenberg, skiing and snowboarding in Willingen.
The house is highly recommended to spend the holidays in!

We have been with our 2 children, and dog for a week in the spring break to this comfortable house, and what a wonderful week we had in Frankenau. The house was clean on arrival, even the fridge smelled fresh!, the beds slept wonderfully! Beautiful walking routes from the house, including We walked to the village via a beautiful route to get fresh bread rolls. The children and dog also enjoyed it to the fullest! Everything beyond expectations ... We will definitely come again!

Very complete holiday home in quiet and beautiful surroundings. Great for short and longer stays. Worth repeating.
