The lodge is really in a unique place: you drive right through the woods to get there. The house feels like home and although it is next to the owners' house, the location is very private. The contact with Eshmee was easy and pleasant. If you are really looking for peace and quiet, we recommend the Darthuizer Lodge to everyone!

The landlords are very hospitable and that was evident from the warm welcome we received.
The opinion of our youngest family member (7): "I thought the horses were super sweet and I also thought the beds were very nice to sleep, and it was just super fun!"

Unique place in the Kaapse Bossen, if you drive a kilometer into the forest from the main road, you will already experience the tranquility. From the garden you can walk straight into the forest, bring a good pair of walking shoes. Nice villages nearby to cycle or walk through and visit a restaurant. Having an early breakfast in the morning while the horses are grazing in the adjacent meadow was a fun experience for our children.
Enjoyed it and fully recharged. Friendly welcome by the owner, she has given us various tips to see in the area. We'll be back!

Nice restaurants nearby. Many castles with beautiful gardens and viewing opportunities in the vicinity. Doorn and Amersfoort with ample shopping opportunities nearby. Warm welcome by the owners.
