Welcome to Chalet BAMS

Chalet BAMS is an attractive, detached chalet in the authentic mountain village of La Monta, near Arolla and Evolène, in the beautiful Swiss Valais. Here you can enjoy peace, privacy and a breathtaking view of the impressive mountain peaks, which are often covered with snow even in summer.

The chalet has been furnished with great care and attention and is fully equipped. On the sunny south-facing balcony you can enjoy the beautiful view, while downstairs you can relax on the spacious terrace. The terrace borders a babbling mountain stream and is equipped with comfortable garden furniture and sun loungers – the ideal place to completely unwind.

In summer, the most beautiful hikes start directly from the chalet. The surrounding area offers countless hiking and mountain trails through unspoilt nature. With a bit of luck, you will see marmots or other wild animals along the way. Arolla and Evolène are also an excellent starting point to discover the authentic Valais.

In winter, La Monta turns into a true winter paradise. The cross-country ski trail runs almost past the chalet and the ski slopes of Arolla can be reached within a few minutes. In the summer you can park directly at the chalet; In winter, the parking lot is a short walk away.

Despite its quiet location, shops, restaurants and a supermarket in Evolène are easily accessible. Chalet BAMS is the ideal destination for anyone who loves nature, tranquility, hiking, skiing, cross-country skiing and the charm of the Swiss Alps.

My name is Marilyn de Boisen, I am the proud owner of Chalet BAMS. The chalet used to belong to my aunt, Yvonne BAMS, who had a great love for the mountains. In 2007 I had it completely renovated and since then I have been taking care of it with great pleasure. I think it is important that my guests feel right at home and enjoy this beautiful place in the Swiss Alps.

Explanation of the prices & cancellation policy

Cancellation policy

The landlord will charge the following amounts, depending on the date of written cancellation by the tenant:

Up to 90 days before the arrival date: free of charge.
From 90 days to 60 days before the arrival date: 50% of the rental price.
From 60 days before the arrival date: 100% of the rental price.
In case of cancellation on the day of arrival or during the stay, the full rental price remains due.

We recommend taking out travel and cancellation insurance.

Another changeover day is possible. Please contact us via "Ask Marilyn a question". Then we can discuss this.

1. Leave the chalet clean and tidy. 2. Use only the ash vacuum cleaner for the fireplace. 3. Do not dispose of ashes or wood residues outside. 4. Additional visitors or guests only after permission.
5. Only open the technical room in the event of a power failure. 6. Store garden cushions in the appropriate storage box after use. 7. Leave the barbecue clean after use.
8. Remove used bedding from the beds. Leave white protective covers on. 9. Place used towels in the bath. 10. Dispose of waste and leave bins empty.
11. Do not leave food items or personal items. 12. Follow the departure instructions in the information guide. 13. Respect the peace and nature around the chalet.
14. Report any damage or defects to the owner immediately. 15. Use the inventory with care and leave everything complete. 16. Do not take bed linen, towels or other items from the private area.

Location & area recommendations

Additional information

Chalet BAMS is located at an altitude of approx. 1,800 meters, in the middle of the unspoilt nature of La Monta. Walk directly from the chalet into the mountains, visit the beautiful Lac Bleu or the cozy Arolla. Within walking distance is a restaurant with delicious pizzas and local specialties. Enjoy the tranquility, the mountain stream, the new hiking bridge and the chance to see marmots, ibex and chamois in the wild.
