Morgins is a wonderful place to stay in both summer and winter. The bakery in the village bakes fresh bread every day and at the many restaurants in the area you can enjoy delicious Swiss cuisine after a beautiful trip through the mountains on foot, ski or mountain bike. The area is full of day activities, such as Lake Geneva, the chocolate factory of Calier, Sion, a visit to the Matterhorn or just relax in the thermal val d'illiez with natural springs. In the winter Morgins is picturesque white by its height at 1400 meters and you can ski almost to the door of the apartment. Morgins is located in the heart of the Portes du Soleil, the largest ski area in Europe.

Our spacious (+/- 115 m2) 5 room corner apartment accommodates 6 people with two luxurious bathrooms and 3 spacious bedrooms. The spacious open kitchen is equipped with an electric hob, dishwasher, oven, nespresso machine, kettle and a fridge / freezer. Both in summer and in winter you can enjoy the beautiful views and sun on one of the 3 balconies. You do not have to worry about your car, there are two private parking spaces in the garage. From the garage you can reach the apartment on the top floor with the elevator (very quiet because you have no upstairs neighbors!).

Hey! We are Ronald and Lonneke and have been coming to Morgins for a couple of years. Since 2010 we are the owners of this nice new apartment. We like to come to Morgins for the wonderful outdoors, in the winter you can find us on the slopes of the Portes Du Soleil and in the summer we enjoy hiking, swimming or mountain biking in the mountains.

The sunny, southwest-oriented village of Morgins is a popular holiday destination for hikers in summer, and in the winter it is part of the cross-border megas area "Portes du Soleil". Grandiose landscapes with the Dents-du-Midi, alpine meadows and numerous mountain lakes characterize this hiking area in Chablais.

Morgins lies at an altitude of about 1300 m in the valley of Morgins, a side valley of Val d'Illiez in Lower Valais, right on the border with France. From Monthey in the Rhone valley, the road leads through Val d'Illiez to Troistorrents and from there with numerous narrow sharp curves up to the high valley of Morgins (15 km from Monthey). The Pas de Morgins border pass, a small pass with a beautiful mountain lake, leads to the French Val d'Abondance.

650 km of slopes - 199 cable cars: Portes-du-Soleil impresses with overwhelming numbers and these can be found in the ski races.

With an average speed of 100 km / h one can do this ski paradise in one day. However we recomend you to take your time and stop in some of the lovely restaurants allong the pistes. Besides the almost unbelievable size, this exceptional area southwest of Lake Geneva also has some very demanding slopes. In the first place: "Le mur suisse". With 76 ° decay, it is one of the most difficult in the world, supplemented by sometimes two-meter high buckles. - An exceptionally adventurous challenge.

Les Portes du Soleil is best known as a ski area. It is the largest connected ski area in the Alps. But the Port du Soleil also offer a variaty of activities during the summer. Les Portes du Soleil has one of the largest networks of hiking and mountain biking trails. Eight hundred kilometers of hiking trails for every hiker and 660 kilometers of mountain bike trails are here for you to explore.
