You have found your idyllic place in Swedish nature just 850 km from Utrecht. Rustic, simple, thatched farmhouse from 1780 in the middle of a nature reserve within walking distance of Lake Sovdesjön. The highest point of the area is a hill right next to the house where the mill used to be. All furnished in style with comfortable beds.
There is a lot to do in the area: two castles within 5 km, many nice beaches and the port town of Ystad can be reached in less than half an hour, 45 km from the cities of Malmö and Lund and a little further the Oresund Bridge and Copenhagen.
The farm and accompanying garden house are completely free and no cars are allowed in the area, except for those of residents. Deer, roe deer and wild boar are the neighbors and due to the lack of roads it is completely car-quiet. Many walks and bike rides directly from the doorstep. The sea and Ystad are 20 km away.
There are three bedrooms with a total of six beds, these can also be divided into 4 rooms because there is a sofa bed in the living room. Next to the living room is a small, modern bathroom and a separate, spacious kitchen. The garden, with several seating areas, flows into the nature reserve.

Layout of the house
The farm is 100m2. Please allow for low doorways and cold wooden floorboards in some rooms in winter. Only the bathroom has underfloor heating. There are modern electric radiators in every room and if you fire the wood stove, extra heating is hardly necessary. The farm has a large kitchen and living room, three small bedrooms and the old bakery where the miller baked his breads.
Furnishing and equipment
The interior of the house is inspired by the year of construction 1780. Therefore, everything is simple and solid. For example: enamel, not plastic, cotton homemade blinds and antique mirrors. Good WiFi and large modern smart TVs with casting options, comfortable seating furniture, also in the garden.
A canoe with accessories - including canoe cart and electric motor - is available.

The living room has two sofas grouped around the fireplace. Furthermore, in addition to three electric radiators, a heat pump / air conditioning.
Kitchen
Cozy kitchen with wood stove and a separate sitting and dining area. Electric stove, oven, microwave, refrigerator, coffee maker and small equipment.
Three bedrooms
Near the kitchen you will find a bedroom with a 2p bed (1.60). In the bathroom a bedroom with two single beds - with a topper joined to 1 bed - also 1.60 wide. In addition, a bedroom with an Auping bed of 1.80 wide and 2.00 long. Baby bed available.
Bathroom
The modern, small bathroom has a sink, toilet, rain shower and underfloor heating.
Terrain
The house is located in a Natura 2000 nature reserve. It is a quiet, protected place without stimuli. The nearest houses in both directions are more than 600 meters away. Only local car traffic is allowed around the farm and that too at a distance. However, hikers, riders or mountain bikers do pass by every now and then. You have your own private garden at the front of the house where you are unseen and undisturbed. You share the central area and the shed with washing machine, microwave and freezer - if they are there - with the owners in the garden house. They have their own garden completely on the other side. If you only want to rent the house when the owners are absent, this is often possible. Please contact us with your dates and wishes.

Surroundings
Trips and activities in the immediate vicinity include rowing boat and canoe rental, bicycle rental, mini golf, and in addition to many swimming, walking and cycling opportunities, there are outdoor activities nearby such as floating sauna, zip lining and high ropes or karting. Of course, in addition to several small museums, the large museums and attractions in Malmö, Lund and Copenhagen are easily accessible (1 hour). Also a short distance away are indoor ice rinks and swimming pools, several seaside beaches with amenities and two national parks.
