Bergslagen is a region in central Sweden, which is known for its (former) mining and metallurgical industries.
Although there is no clear demarcation of the area, the area includes roughly north and west of Västmanland, north of Örebro län, southeastern Värmland and southern Dalarna. In broader definitions are also parts of Närke, Östergötland, Uppland and Gästrikland included in Bergslagen.
Bergslagen is very special, actually a bit mysterious and magical. The deep green forests and lakes are full of natural experiences for the whole family.
In the surroundings you can mountain biking, hiking, canoeing or swimming. Orebro you can go shopping or visit a castle or on a terrace, but for ordinary shopping is the store 6 km away.
