In the evening you can also take a walk to the nightlife around hotel Torarica, Royal Torarica 't Vat, Waterkant. On the waterfront, people sit every evening enjoying the well-known Parbo Beer. It is a kind of meeting point in the evenings. You will pass the Presidential Palace when you go to the Waterfront. The old historic center is also close to the waterfront. There are plenty of city buses available during the day or taxis that can transport you to the center. All this within walking distance.
