Lisa & Bram, a Dutch couple with roots in both the Netherlands and Indonesia.
After studying in Spain and travelling all over the world we met in Amsterdam and decided to start exploring the world together. Two years ago we decided to investigate if we could combine both worlds, resulting in Casa Joya Nerja. It took us 6 months of renovations to create the most authentic personal holiday home possible.

Low season: Minimum stay 3 days
High season: April to September: only available for rent per week and during the Christmas period
Rental price is based on a stay of 4 people. Our house can accommodate up to 4 adults.

Max children: 2
We provide one camping bed for one child up to 15 kg.
We also have a high chair for a child and a baby bath.

- Beach: 5 to 10 minutes walk: Playa Vilches (beach beds, beach bar and restaurant) & Playa Güilche (best place for snorkeling) & Playa Playazo (ideal for walking and running) - Restaurants: 5 to 10 minutes walk: La Restinga Beach , Avalon, Mesonera de Nerja or El Mirador de Guilche - Mini supermarket: 5 to 10 minutes walk: Mini Market Verano Azul - By car 5 minutes: Nerja City Center + large supermarket Lidl & Mercadona - By bike 15 minutes: Nerja City Center ( you can use 2 bicycles free of charge) - 30 minutes walk: You can walk from the main road on the sidewalk, but you can also walk nicely on the beach to the center of Nerja. We advise you to rent a car during your stay. Casa Joya Nerja is located on a hill. Although you are within walking distance of the swimming pool, beach and a few restaurants, we recommend a rental car. You can park the car in front of the door. If you don't want to rent a car, there is a bus stop at the beginning of the street. Avalon is a restaurant in Nerja set 50 metres above Playazo beach, 2 kms west of the town centre. In Summer Avalon serves breakfast, lunch and dinner every day. Breakfast is served from 9am to 11am, lunch is from 1pm to 4pm and dinner is from 7pm. The a la carte menu is served both lunch and dinner. Light lunches and daily specials are recommended. Avalon has a large, private car park.

The sociable bar and beautiful terrace is open all day. The dining terrace has panoramic views of the mountains and sea. The stylish and intimate restaurant has an open fire for the colder months. Avalon has a children’s menu, and they are always welcome. Diners with special dietary requirements can be catered for and vegetarian options are always available.

It is a 10 minute walk or 2 minutes drive by car from Casa Joya Nerja to the restaurant.

The best spot for your sunday tapas! It is situated in a nice spot literally on the beach of Burriana. In summer it can be a challenge to park at Burriana, but that should not stop you from visiting this place. Full of locals, with a great vibe. Their specialty is Paella and fish. The paella is amazing and even more amazing, it costs less than 10 euro for unlimited plates of delicious paella mixta!

It was October 10th 2010 when Kim Ranzijn (Loosdrecht, The Netherlands) and Carlos Pardo (Málaga, Spain) started a new project in Nerja. A restaurant with a mediterranean soul, a place where every detail has been thought about so you can enjoy your experience to the fullest. Since its opening, Restaurante Oliva has not stopped evolving. In 2016 it got the recommendation in the Michelin Guide and since then it has been rewarded with this recognition every year. In 2021 Restaurante Oliva moved to a new location at Plaza de España, to a more spacious and centric place.

Restaurant Oliva´s kitchen opens from Tuesday to Sunday from 13:00 to 16:00 for lunch and from 19:00 to 23:00 for dinner.
