Luga Hermosa Marbella

There is plenty to do and see in the region of Elviria/Marbella in the province of Andalusia. It is not for nothing that it has been one of the most popular travel destinations in Europe for years. There is beautiful nature, beautiful authentic white mountain villages, many beaches with nice beach bars, interesting cities such as Malaga, Ronda, Granada, Seville, Gibraltar are easily accessible and then there is the fashionable Marbella itself with a nice old city center and the port of Puerto banus. Luga Hermosa is located in La Mairena which forms the eastern part of the Sierra Las Nieves National Park and is a UNESCO protected biosphere. From the luxurious world famous Nikki Beach to local chiruingitos. The Beach house is a beautiful atmospheric beach bar where you can rent beds for a day at the beach. More local is El Laurel and Los Tony's which also have cots. But there is a lot of choice. Just find out what suits you best. Malaga can be viewed with a hop on hop off tour, an efficient way to see a larger Spanish city. Granada is also a beautiful city and known for the world famous Alhambra. Less far is Ronda where you drive through the mountains via a very nice route. Gibraltar is a very interesting place just 1 hour and 20 minutes by car. Separated from Spain by a runway, you will find yourself in a completely different world. You will need your passport as you will be entering a part of the United Kingdom. Here you drive on the left, you will see English pubs and red telephone boxes and very interesting are the caves which were made in the mountain to monitor the Strait of Gibraltar by the Spaniards and the English. There are also monkeys in the wild here. What you definitely don't want to miss is a visit to Puerto Banus. Our advice is to go here in the evening. Mega yachts of the super rich are located here and the Bentleys and Ferraris drive back and forth. You can eat in 1 of the restaurants on the harbor and that is quite affordable. Puerto Banus is the luxury port of Marbella. Here you will also find El Corte Ingles. A shopper's paradise. Beehive level but bigger. Marbella itself also has a very nice old center with narrow streets. The Playa de Los Naranjas is beautiful with all its orange trees and terraces. You can wander through here for a while.
