The new owners, Karin and Ralf, have further embellished this well-known and beloved holiday home with more spacious beds, New furniture, modern accents and a completely new kitchen design.
La Pendolera features 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms (1 en-suite with a spacious walk-in shower and the other with a bathtub/shower), a spacious living room with comfortable sofas, a fireplace and a smart TV. Guests have access to a washing machine and there is free Wi-Fi throughout the house. All windows have mosquito nets and shutters, and the central air conditioning works on a consumption-based basis.
The kitchen is a beautiful American open plan kitchen with a large dining table and chairs, fully equipped with an electric stove, oven, microwave, large fridge/freezer, extractor fan, dishwasher and all the essentials.
The outdoor area with fenced swimming pool and covered terrace with barbecue is the favourite spot for most guests. The mild climate and the enclosure ensure that you can enjoy the outdoors all year round. The grounds are fully walled and the pool is also separately fenced, child and pet friendly. There is exterior lighting and pool lighting. A lockable parking space is available for 2 cars, and pets are allowed after consultation.
La Pendolera is exceptionally beautiful in the Alqueria, just 1.5 km from Comares, and offers a microclimate in addition to the beautiful surroundings. Due to its unique location against the mountainside overlooking the sea, temperatures are extremely mild even in winter, which is reflected in the many tropical fruits that thrive here. Many hibernators choose to stay for a few months every year because of these favorable conditions.
In addition to the natural beauty, there are plenty of opportunities for walks in the immediate vicinity of the house. Comares, also known as the 'Pearl of the Axarquia', is a typical whitewashed Andalusian village steeped in history and Moorish influences. The village offers gastronomic delights in bars and restaurants, but for self-catering there are also local amenities including a village supermarket, a bakery with wood-fired bread and the option to have meat, fish, bread and vegetables delivered to your door.
For active guests, Comares offers various possibilities such as hiking, mountain biking, cycling and rock climbing. The village square at an altitude of 730 meters offers breathtaking views of the Sierra Tejeda and the Mediterranean Sea.
La Pendolera is the ideal base for day trips to Malaga, Granada (Alhambra), Cordoba (Mezquita), Ronda or the famous Caminito del Rey in Ardales. The award-winning beach of Torre del Mar is just 30 km away, and the commercial centre of Velez-Malaga, with supermarkets and shopping centres, can be reached within half an hour.
