Day trip to Barcelona is 2 hours away and you can see Valencia by driving 1.5 hours to the south, but don't forget the beautiful Tarragona where you can enjoy a 1 hour drive. If you drive inland towards Teruel, you can even ski in Aramon-Javalambre in 1.5 hours' drive from Vinaros until March.
