Our villa is set on a spacious plot of 850m2 near the beautiful medieval village of Calonge, overlooking the hills and the huge and beautiful nature reserve "Les Gavarres". The many beautiful beaches and many diverse supermarkets, butchers, fishmongers and bakers are just a 5 minute drive from the villa. Some examples are the beaches of St. Antoni de Calonge, Palamos, Platja d'Aro, S' Agaro, Pals, Begur, Tamariu, Calella de Palafrugell, Llafranc etc. This beautiful base guarantees a wonderful holiday with the family or as a couple. Our house has a Mediterranean rustic garden (facing south) that offers a lot of privacy and has a private swimming pool of 8 by 4 meters. Recently renovated in January 2025. The pool has an electrolysis system, which means that it is not chlorine but chlorine converted into lightly salted water, so that your skin does not dry out and your skin does not dry out. The house is fully equipped, so you don't necessarily have to leave home and can quietly enjoy the sun / shade all day with a lovely book. If you want to go to the beach by bike, this is certainly possible, the route to the nearest beach of Sant Antoni de Calonge is quite flat and is only about 10 minutes by bike. There are several bike rental shops nearby.
The house has 2 floors: On the ground floor: Entrance, living room with wood fireplace and then a spacious kitchen with all conveniences such as a fridge-freezer, dishwasher, induction hob, oven, microwave, work island and a Nespresso coffee machine, the cups are easy to get in the supermarket. In the en suite there is a separate dining room for 6 people. Then on this floor is a spacious double bedroom with a spacious built-in wardrobe and patio doors to the terrace and a spacious bathroom with shower, toilet, washbasin and washing machine.
On the ground floor there are 2 bedrooms, 1 room has a double bed and the 3rd bedroom of the house has 3 single beds overlooking the pool and garden. On the ground floor is the 2nd bathroom with bath with shower, toilet and washbasin. There is also a separate camping bed + mattress in the house for the smaller children who do not yet sleep in the adult bed. This camping cot is free to use.
Outside is a very large terrace of approx. 70m2 with veranda and awnings, a dining table with 8 chairs and a relaxed lounge area for a nice appetizer. Downstairs by the pool is a second dining table. Through the outside stairs you enter the garden and swimming pool and there you will also find the Solar shower and sunbeds, and relax chairs and hammock. During your stay, the pool is maintained by the Poolman for a perfect quality of the swimming water! There are several board games available in the cupboard of the living room, and outside in the garden there is also a ping pong table.
The house is equipped with various devices such as television, apple tv, and a Bluetooth speaker so you can play all the music from your phone, iPad or laptop and broadband WiFi internet. In our house you will find magazines and books about what there is to do in the area in terms of culture and cuisine. You will also find information about Barcelona and Girona and about the nearby golf courses such as Pals, Mas Nou and Santa Cristina and ski resorts (first ski stations reachable within a 1.5 hour drive) for the winter. In the bookcase you will also find books left behind by previous guests, so there is always something to read.
In short, there is plenty to do for the active holidaymaker and there is plenty of peace and quiet for those who want an extremely "laid back" holiday!
