It is a bustling city with about 20 kilometers of sandy beaches. There are 2 large shopping centers in Torrevieja, La Zenia Boulevard and Habaneras Shopping Center where you can also find a large Carrefour. Between Punta Prima and Playa Flamenca you will find a karting track and the Aquapolis Torrevieja water park is the largest in the region. In the area you can enjoy cycling or walking in, for example, the dune areas of La Mata or Guardamar del Segura. For golf enthusiasts, there are 9 golf clubs in Torrevieja! Various water sports are also possible, such as wake and fly boarding, jet skiing and surfing. You can also book various trips with boats or you can go for a relaxing holiday on the beach or by the pool.
Torrevieja is a wonderful base for various city trips to Alicante, Elche (with the beautiful palm gardens), Cartagena, Murcia, Santa Pola (for a boat trip to Tabarca island), Guardamar del Segura (with its Spanish character and beautiful beach) and a lot of fun small villages in the area.
