This lovely detached villa in the urbanisation Rafol d'Almunia offers the best of Spanish living and is therefore a perfect holiday retreat. The villa offers a lot of privacy, has sea views and is located in the heart of the mountains, a few minutes' drive from the typical Spanish village of Rafol d'Almunia.

The house offers 2 spacious rooms, dining room and sitting room. It has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms, a large garden and a swimming pool.

Just a 15 minute drive away there are amenities and local shops of the town of Pego. A 10 minute drive from the shopping mall of Ondara and a 20 minute drive to the beautiful town of Denia. 

Through a large open and bright kitchen you enter the spacious dining room. Furthermore, a bathroom and a storage room with washing machine (and an extra fridge). From the dining room you enter the large living room via a spacious staircase with views to the outside and access to a spacious covered terrace. On this floor are the 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. All rooms with fixed wardrobes and cupboards. The master bedroom on the south side has an ensuite bathroom and has air conditioning and has access through sliding doors to the covered terrace. The other bedrooms have a ceiling fan. Another bedroom on this floor provides access to a terrace at the rear of the villa. From there you have a view of the beautiful nature and the sea. This terrace is also accessible from the ground floor via an external staircase.

On the ground floor there is a large terrace with a dining table and 6 comfortable chairs. Right next to the terrace is the private swimming pool with outdoor shower amidst a large, beautifully landscaped garden. There are also sunbeds to enjoy the Spanish sun. An outdoor area with BBQ offers an extra opportunity to enjoy a delicious meal.

Fast internet via fiber optic: 100Mb/s Wifi. TV via the internet with all Dutch channels and numerous other channels.
Kitchen equipment:
Gas cooking, extractor hood, dishwasher, fridge-freezer, microwave, electric oven, coffee maker.

We, Willemien and Hans, are the proud owners of the villa in the urbanization Rafol d'Almunia. We are both retired and live in the Netherlands. We have 2 children and 4 grandchildren. We are regularly in Spain to enjoy the fine Spanish climate and the Spanish attitude to life. During the periods that we or our children are not there, we want to rent it out. We have put together and cared for the interior with the greatest care.

Explanation of the prices & cancellation policy

Cancellation policy
In the event of cancellation by the tenant, the landlord will charge the following amounts, depending on the date of written cancellation by the tenant:

  • In case of cancellation up to 42 days before the start of the rental period: free of charge
  • In case of cancellation from 42 days (inclusive) to 14 days (exclusive) before the start of the rental period: 30% of the rental price
  • In case of cancellation from 14 days (inclusive) before the start of the rental period: 100% of the rental price.
    In case of late payment, the landlord is entitled to cancel the holiday, the deposit of 30% will not be refunded 
  • If the tenant only announces on the day of the start of the rental period or during the rental period that he will not make any use of the leased property, the tenant will continue to owe the full rent.

Payments
  • To secure the reservation, a deposit of 30% of the total price (= rental price + deposit) for the booked period is required upon booking. To be paid within 5 days of booking.
  • 14 days before the first rental date, 100% of the total price must be paid.
  • For bookings made 14 days or later than before the first rental date, 100% of the total price must be paid immediately.
  • The mandatory cleaning fee of €215 must also be paid 14 days before the first rental date.
  • For bookings made 14 days or later than before the first rental date, the mandatory cleaning fee of €215 must be paid directly upon booking.
 Security: 
  • The deposit is € 500.
    This deposit will be refunded after inspection of the property after settlement of the cleaning costs, subject to any damage or additional costs caused by the tenant.

Location & area recommendations

Additional information

The detached villa offers peace and quiet if you wish with a beautiful garden with swimming pool. It is located on a slope in a quiet area. Both the garden and the pool are maintained all year round. You don't have to worry about that. For those who want more, there are many other options.

Shopping mall Ondara:
15 minutes away by car there is a shopping mall with various supermarkets, restaurants and many shops of well-known luxury brands.

Sport:
There is a lot of cycling in this area. For many cyclists, the mountainous area is a major challenge. Even well-known professional cyclists are active here.

For the wind and kite surfer, there are ideal conditions for sailing at sea. Equipment can be rented on site.

Various hiking trails are possible in the mountainous surroundings.

Sea and beach:
At a distance of about 6 km from the villa, the sea and beaches are easily accessible by car. The beaches are wide and quiet even in season. There are many sandy beaches and some pebble beaches, such as the playa Almadraba and Playa Deveses. East of Denia there are the beaches Playa de les Marines and Playa de los albarenes.

Catering
Restaurants are available nearby. Of course, at the playas Almadraba and Deveses there are opportunities to enjoy the various bars and restaurants (chiringuitos). At Playa Almadraba it is pleasant to stay in "Llum restaurante" (https://llumrestaurante.com/) directly by the sea. As well as at LosBaños Sunshine Bar (LBS) right on the beach (https://losbanosunshinebar.com/). And there are more like that towards Denia.

Denia is a lively city with beautiful and picturesque places. There is a port from where fast ferries to Ibiza depart daily and where a number of rich people have moored their yachts. There is a fishing port and a marina with the necessary restaurants.
In the town itself there are numerous restaurants and bars. You can park your car in the center in the underground (paid) parking garage. Parking along the road is often difficult; usually already full of parked cars.
You will also find the castle "Castell de Denia" in the city, which towers above the city.
For nature lovers, the Montgó Natural Park is worth a visit. Make sure that if you go for a walk, that you bring enough to drink!

For those who like even more beach, sea with many restaurants, there are also other attractive places in the area such as Javea, Altea and Calp.

Striking places to visit.
The tourist resort of Guadelest with the Castell de Guadelest and the reservoir of the same name is about 1 hour away. It is worth visiting. Keep in mind that there can be pressure.

Recommended is "la Pasarela de la presa de Relleu" (La ruta de la pasarela de la presa de Relleu). An exciting route on a wooden footpath at high altitude through a gorge. Check availability in advance and book your tickets in time via the internet.

In the major cities of Alicante and Valencia it is possible to make guided bike tours. Very nice to do together or with the family.
