Casa Pilar

Welcome to Casa Pilar!  This house is furnished with a wonderful vibe and equipped with every luxury and comfort.
This house is located at the back of our garden, but gives both you and us sufficient privacy. This way you have no view into the house, the terrace and you have a separate entrance.

Because sleeping well on holiday is very important, both bedrooms have a spacious box spring bed (180x210) with lovely top quality mattresses and we have different models of pillows available!  The bedrooms are also equipped with air conditioning, mosquito nets, (blackout) curtains & built-in wardrobes with plenty of storage space.

The 2 bathrooms are ensuite and each equipped with a toilet, spacious walk-in shower, sink with large mirror, hairdryer, sufficient storage space, soft towels & hand soap. There are also mosquito windows in the bathroom and there is underfloor heating. Wonderful to get out of the shower like this....

The dining room with open kitchen & cozy sitting area is light, beautifully decorated and offers a beautiful view of the valley. This room is also equipped with air conditioning and underfloor heating. The kitchen itself is equipped with all modern comfort including a dishwasher, ceramic hobs, oven, spacious fridge and freezer, microwave, coffee maker for ground coffee & a Nespresso machine, toaster, juicer, mixer...  

The cabinets are filled with beautiful sevies, sufficient and various types of glasses and cutlery. The pots, pans and cooking utensils are of excellent quality. 

We also provide standard oil, various herbs, some dishwasher tablets, toilet paper, soaps, some coffee cups, sugar, tea, a bottle of water & a delicious aperitif with a few snacks.

In the sitting area with large flat screen you can enjoy the channels offered by Tv Vlaanderen (also Dutch, English, French, German... channels) There is also a Chromecast & Netflix. The wifi is of very good quality and super fast! The underfloor heating and the built-in (silent) pallet stove make the winter months extra warm and cozy. 

A washing machine, ironing board, iron, drying rack and vacuum cleaner are also available....
On the private terrace in front of the house you can enjoy the sun from morning to evening, you have NO privacy, a beautiful and open view of the valley and here too the layout of the terrace exudes the atmosphere of holidays...  
Your private terrace is equipped with a dining table with 4 chairs, a lounge sitting area, 2 sunbeds & an authentic Finnish hot tub! Pure luxury...  

The swimming pool with sun loungers, the outdoor kitchen with bbq (gas), sink, refrigerator,... the lounge, the garden with built-in trampoline, the outdoor shower and the separate outdoor toilet... can be used all year round. The hot tub can be used between mid-September and the end of June. In the summer months, lighting fires is prohibited in the region due to fire risk (drought)

The pool is nice and large and has a size of 12m x 5.5m. (the swimming pool can also be heated on request and provided suppl. - request a few days in advance!) 

The house is quietly located, yet close to everything! The old town is a 5' drive or 30' walk, the port is an 8' drive, the sandy beach 'Arenal' is a 12' drive away
A car is recommended for groceries, trips...  


Because we also live on the domain with our children and both we and our children need peace and quiet for work / studies, Casa Pilar can only be rented for adults (with the exception of July 1 - August 31) Casa Pilar and its facilities (swimming pool, outdoor kitchen) are only available to tenants of Casa Pilar. Visiting family and friends is not allowed (unless with our exceptional permission) 

We have furnished the house with a lot of love and maintain it very well. Casa Pilar is a holiday home, not a party home!
Our sweet cat Merlot roams freely on the domain, so other pets are unfortunately excluded.

Please join a reservation already made (1 day) or leave at least 9 days in between. We can cancel your reservation in case of non-follow-up. Questions about the data? Feel free to send us a message!
