The dream place
Relax by the pool, walk or cycle with views of enchantingly beautiful hills, mountains and the sea. Far enough away from the (traffic) crowds and mass tourism. And yet centrally located in relation to the lovely white villages and the Mediterranean coast. Cultural cities such as Granada and Malaga are within easy reach. We fell in love with Sedella, a traditional white Spanish village in the La Axarquía region at 700m above sea level at the foot of La Maroma (with 2,069m the highest mountain in the region) and the Sierra Tejeda y Almijara Natural Park. We bought a beautifully located villa there in 2023 that we provided with all the comforts for a pleasant stay.
We are also happy to make our villa available to other nature lovers if we are not using it ourselves (max. 4 people, minimum age 12 years, no smoking).
The accommodation
The completely renovated and furnished accommodation in modern-Andalusian style is located on a private mountain hill of about 7,000m2 with panoramic views to the South/Southeast. In summer, the private pool offers maximum cooling.
Around the villa there are several (sheltered) places where you can settle down, such as at the table in the spacious outdoor kitchen with bbq facilities, in the lounge sofas under the veranda and on the sunbeds around the pool. Or put your chair under an olive, lemon or fig tree.
Comfort
La Casa Algarrobo has 2 attractive guest bedrooms. Bedroom Natureleza has a double bed and built-in wardrobe. Bedroom Pueblo has 2 single beds (can be combined into a double bed if desired). There is also a lovely bathroom (with double sinks, a spacious shower and a toilet with bidet hose), a cozy living room with dining area and fireplace and a spacious, well-equipped kitchen (including induction hob, oven, microwave, large fridge / freezer, dishwasher, Nespresso machine & cafetière, kettle, wine cooler and washing machine).
Accessibility
The road to our plot is asphalted up to 300m from the house and easily accessible by any type of car. If you don't mind a small climb, you can walk the mere 2 kilometers to the center of Sedella in 30 minutes where there is a small village shop and a few bar-restaurants . By car you are in one of the surrounding villages in no time. Own transport is required for this accommodation.
