Casa de los Granados in Andalusia, Cadiz region, is located near the beach on the Atlantic Ocean. This area is one of the southernmost points in Europe and has the most hours of sunshine during the year.

Surfers, walkers, yogis, cyclists and golfers, there is something for everyone. There is so much to see and do in the area: Conil, Vejer de la Frontera and Medina Sidonia are three of the 'white villages'. Each of them has its own character and is very photographic. Furthermore, it is highly recommended to visit the oldest city in Europe Cadiz or Jerez de la Frontera, which is famous for its large bodegas (Tio Pepe),

Flamenco and the Moorish castle Alcazar. Tarifa is only a 40-minute drive south: A spectacular kitesurfing paradise with a very attractive old town. From here you can also spot whales and dolphins.

The villa is located in Pinares de Roche, so you can easily take a nice walk in the wooded area, cycle to Roche beach or go to the shops in El Colorado.

The famous beaches of Cabo Roche and Calas de Roche are just a 5 minute drive away, the coastal town of Conil de la Frontera is just an 8 minute drive away. The other famous and beautiful 'white village' Vejer de la Frontera is a 15 minute drive away. Cadiz is a 30 minute drive away.

El Colorado is just 3 minutes away where you can get all your daily groceries and more (Carrefour supermarket, bakers, butchers, breakfast bars and restaurants). Around the corner from the villa there is a local small Coviran supermarket called Manollo where you can also buy fresh fruit, bread, vegetables and meat.

In the immediate vicinity of the villa you will find some good restaurants, from traditional Spanish to more internationally oriented. Of course, in Conil - and Vejer de la Frontera there is a wide variety of tapas bars, restaurants, wineries and bars. Make sure you don't leave without tasting the excellent tuna rojo that Conil is famous for.

ACTIVITIES

Surf
The area is known for its great surf spots! Along the coast of Roche, Conil, El Palmar and Canos de Meca the waves are great all year round. Towards Tarifa you will find the best kite and windsurfing elements in Europe. There are several options for surf schools nearby.

Walking and cycling
We are located in the Pinares de Roche, a forest where you can enjoy walking but also cycling. The Cadiz area has several official hiking and cycling trails. Along the coast near the cliffs, for example, or in the La Brena nature park or at the Salinas near Chiclana. We can share our favorite routes with you and give you tailor-made tips.

Beaches
There is a wide range of beautiful beaches in the nearby area. Just 5 minutes away are the beautiful Calas de Roche, hidden between the large cliffs. In Conil you will find Fontanilla, Fuente de Gallo, among others, about an 8-minute drive. A little further south are El Palmar, Zahora and Canos de Meca; beaches all with their own atmosphere.

Conil de la Frontera
Conil de la Frontera is an 8-minute drive from the villa. You can see the white houses of this small hilltop town gleaming in the sun as you approach it via the coastal road. The town is small and cozy and offers everything for a relaxing getaway: beautiful long beaches, intimate alleys, lively bars and restaurants.

Vejer de la Frontera
Spain's famous White Villages are hilltop villages, often with Moorish roots. Vejer is one of them, a 15-minute drive away. Get lost in the narrow streets, enjoy the breathtaking views from the hilltops, visit the boutiques and great restaurants and bars. Vejer is the hidden gem of the area.

Jerez de la Frontera
Jerez de la Frontera is known as the birthplace and world capital of fortified wine – sherry and as the birthplace of flamenco, as well as being home to one of the world's most prestigious classical riding academies. Jerez is a city with a rich history and should be on everyone's list of places to visit.

Cadiz
Cádiz is an island city in Spain, a medieval fortress surrounded on all sides by the Atlantic Ocean. Now heading into the fourth millennium, an influx of wealth from America in the 18th century gave the city the bleached white sheen it has today.

golf
There are many golf courses in the Cadiz area. The best known are in Sancti Petri, golf courses near Vejer de la Frontera and around Jerez de la Frontera. Close to the villa you will find the Campano Golf Club, La Estancia Golf Club or Sancti Petri Hills.
