Los dos Algarrobos

Los dos Algarrobos is an authentic Spanish house decorated in a contemporary Andalusian-Moorish way. Originally, the house was a cortijito ("siesta house") of the farmer. In recent decades it has been expanded into a complete house of about 130^m2 with a spacious open, Andalusian kitchen, living room with sitting area, dining area and with a high-efficiency wood stove, three bedrooms with eight beds and two bathrooms. The house is south facing and has sea views. The garden measures almost 3,000^m2. It contains a swimming pool of 4 by 10 meters, which can be closed off with a gate. There is an outdoor shower, an outdoor kitchen with barbecue/electric hob. Finally, there are several terraces. The house owes its name to the two more than 100-year-old carob trees, Algarrobos, that stand in front of the house; a protected Mediterranean tree. It is located on the edge of the nature reserve Las Sierras de Tejeda, Almijara y Alhama, in which you can walk endlessly . In addition to the carob trees, olives and agaves, there are also the 'pinos', a kind of coniferous trees and cypresses, which are typical of the nature reserve. As a result, the house has a sheltered, but not secluded location with lots of privacy and there are terraces and seating areas in both the sun and shade.

The house is tastefully decorated. It offers many facilities that make a stay pleasant. The kitchen is equipped with a four-burner hob, oven, microwave, filter coffee maker, Nespresso capsule machine, large refrigerator, dishwasher and washing machine. Furthermore, things like a toaster, hand blender, etc., are available. In the living room there is a TV/DVD/video player and a Bose sound box where you can listen to your favorite music from your own smartphone or iPad. Furthermore, our library is at your disposal with literature, cookbooks, some art and travel books about Andalusia in different languages and films on DVD/video. The wood-burning stove is also centrally located in the living room. The wood-burning stove provides a lot of heat, but the house also has a climate system, which provides extra heating in the winter months and provides the house with air conditioning in the summer. There are three bedrooms: a spacious bedroom with a double bed, wardrobe and an en-suite bathroom with bath/shower, sink, toilet and bidet. From this bedroom there is direct access to the pool and terrace. On the other side of the house are the other two bedrooms: one with a double bed and wardrobe and one with two bunk beds. Here you will also find the second bathroom with shower and toilet. In addition, a cot and high chair are available. So there are a total of eight sleeping places in the bedrooms.

Surrounding the pool is a terracotta-tiled  terrace with outdoor shower and the outdoor kitchen with barbecue/electric hob. There are also terraces at the living room, the patio terrace, and under the carob trees. Finally, there is a terrace on top of the rocks behind the pool where the hammock can also be hung. The house has wooden garden furniture and there are six sun beds. At the front of the house, the grounds slope down with terraces with beds in which herbs and all kinds of other plants, shrubs and trees grow.
