In May 2024 we had the opportunity to purchase this fantastic, completely renovated old cortijo. In September, the house will be furnished so that we can rent out this beautiful gem from October.
Cortijo Lofio is located in the middle of almond and olive trees, and is quietly located in the hills of Competa, the beautiful white Andalusian village. Only 10 minutes by car from Competa, and Torrox Costa can be reached in about 25 minutes .

The house was completely restored in 2020, old elements combined with modern, giving you all the luxury at your disposal. Through the door you enter the large, modern, central kitchen, which opens onto the 2 bedrooms, bathroom and living room. The bathroom has a large walk-in shower, a beautiful designer bath, 2 sinks and separate toilet.

The kitchen is cozy and modern, equipped with a large gas stove, an oven XL, dishwasher and freestanding American fridge. The living room has a lovely wood stove, with patio doors to the terraces, overlooking the pool and hills. The pool is equipped with an environmentally friendly salt electrolysis system, which is pleasant for your skin and hair.

We, Margret and Martin van der Pluijm, have had a hotel in Austria for 15 years, after selling it we built our dream house in Kärnten in 2021. Then came the jitters for our 2nd dream: a villa in Spain. In the spring of 2022 we purchased our 1st home in Competa. We fell in love with this magical environment, and we decided to move permanently. And then this fantastic cortijo came along, which we didn't have to think about for long.

Explanation of the prices & cancellation policy

If, for whatever reason, the tenant is unable or unwilling to accept the rented property on the agreed date, he must inform the landlord immediately. A cancellation must always be confirmed to the landlord by email. If the tenant cancels the agreement in the period up to 6 weeks before the start date of the rental period, he remains liable to pay 30% of the rent; in case of cancellation up to 4 weeks 40% and from 2 weeks until the start date of the rental period 80%. If the tenant only announces on the start date or during the rental period that he will no longer use the rented property, he will continue to owe the full rent.
