Casa Rosalia

Casa Rosalia is an Andalusian finca, quietly located in the hills of the Axarquía, a 10-minute drive from the beach of Torre del Mar.
Our finca consists of a main house, with a cozy living room, a beautiful, open kitchen, a bathroom with bath and rain shower, and 3 large double bedrooms. Everything is decorated in a Moorish style. There is also a lovely private swimming pool, with a second bathroom with large shower room and toilet next to it.
There is a covered outdoor kitchen with a large barbecue, where you can eat outside at the cozy large dining table; We have our own water tower, and a square with an ancient olive tree under which it is wonderful to relax in the shade.
In addition, there are a number of outbuildings that serve as storage.

The entire site covers about 5,000 m2, with lots of fruit trees: mangoes, grapes, oranges, tangerines, lemons, kumquats, olives, figs, medlars, cherimoyas and even an avocado tree! From the orchard a steep path leads down to a narrow stream.

The finca is completely detached, wonderfully quiet and offers plenty of privacy. The house has thick walls, which ensure that it stays cool in the summer, and pleasant in the winter.
All rooms have ceiling fans. There is air conditioning that provides cool and warm air, and a wood stove that, if it is a bit colder in the evening (usually only in December) you can burn comfortably.

All windows have mosquito nets and bamboo blinds.
Of course there is well-functioning WIFI.

The house can accommodate 6 people. An extra (children's) bed can be added.

From Malaga airport it is about a 40-minute drive to our finca. From Granada airport about 1.5 hours.
Just a 5-minute drive away is Vélez-Málaga, a pleasant town with a large shopping center (El Ingenio) and a fortress.
Torre del Mar is a cozy Spanish seaside resort with nice restaurants, bars and chiringuitos (beach bars). From Torre del Mar you can drive all over the east coast to other nice seaside resorts, such as Caleta, Algarrobo, Torrox, Nerja and Almería. Westwards you drive to the more touristy places such as Málaga, Torremolinos and Marbella.

More inland are the natural parks of the Sierra Tejada, the Sierra Almijara and Alhama, where you can enjoy plenty of walking. The famous Caminito del Rey is a 1.5-hour drive away, where you can take a spectacular walk through the gorge of El Chorro. At Canillas de Aceituno (a 30-minute drive), El Saltillo, the little brother of the Caminito, also starts with a spectacular suspension bridge.

For the culture lover, the beautiful cities of Málaga, Seville, Granada, Ronda and Córdoba are within easy reach.
The typical white villages of Moorish origin Nerja, Frigiliana and Comares are also nearby.

Classification:

If you drive down the concrete road ( you will arrive at the entrance gate of Casa Rosalia. You can park the car under the pergola. Immediately to the right you will see the swimming pool (7x4 m, descending to > 2 meters depth).
Around the pool there is plenty of space to sunbathe on the sunbeds or chairs.
Next to the pool is the outdoor bathroom, with large walk-in shower, toilet and sink.

The house:
You enter the Casa through the patio, where there is a comfortable lounge set.
The living room has a wood burning stove, ceiling fan and air conditioning.
The large open kitchen is equipped with a dishwasher, large fridge / freezer, and a 5-burner gas stove with electric oven.
There is also a microwave, toaster, kettle and  Nespresso coffee machine.

From the living room you walk into the hallway where you have access to the 3 bedrooms and the bathroom.
The largest bedroom is on the far left at the end of the hallway. This room is equipped with a large (1.80 x 2 meter) double bed, wardrobe, two bedside tables, a ceiling fan, and air conditioning.

Next to this bedroom is the 2nd spacious bedroom, which has 2 single beds that can easily be made into 1 double bed, a wardrobe and a ceiling fan.

Then comes the bathroom, with toilet, bidet, sink and bath with rain shower.
Towels are plentiful.

To the right of the bathroom is the 3rd, also spacious bedroom; This is also equipped with 2 single beds, which can be joined together, wardrobe and a ceiling fan.

If you walk out from the kitchen you will come to our 'square' with a large olive tree.
Here is the outdoor kitchen with barbecue and large mosaic dining table with parasol, where you can eat in the shade. If you walk down from the square you will pass our water tower, a storage room and below a former chicken coop.
