With large swimming pool (15 by 5 meters) at Lodge and excellent restaurant "The Calabash Grill" nearby at adjacent lodge (5 minutes walk via footpath through beautiful garden). Large Spar supermarket 5 minutes walk.
Perfectly suitable for several couples or larger families due to 3 separate bedrooms, each with its own air conditioning and WiFi via fiber optic internet. Recently equipped with battery system, so that the power in the holiday villa does not fail during "Load-Shedding" periods. Bed linen and kitchen linen are provided by the Lodge. Daily cleaning.
Downstairs in front of the veranda is a large "braai" to BBQ yourself. The spacious garden around Tambotie has various native trees and shrubs. Nice view from the veranda of the Lodge's fishing pond.
Ideally located in the safe South African town of Phalaborwa ('hometown' of the Amarula liqueur!) just a 5 minute drive from the Phalaborwa Gate of the Kruger Park and the excellent restaurant "Bushveld Terrace" on the edge of the Kruger Park. From the Phalaborwa Gate there are several beautiful routes through the Kruger Park, for example to Satara, to Olifants, to Letaba or to Mopani. We are happy to give you tips on the most beautiful routes!
The spectacular Blyde River Canyon with the tourist attractions 'Gods Window', 'Bourke's Luck PotHoles' and 'Three Rondavals', is a day trip away from the holiday villa, as well as Pilgrims Rest, a unique miners' museum town and a number of spectacular waterfalls, such as the MacMac Falls, the Lisbon Falls and the Berlin Falls.
Looking for unique experiences? Then take a unique boat safari (bookable through the Lodge) or go ballooning in Hoedspruit via "Sun Catchers Hoedspruit", abseiling in Tzaneen via "Magoebas Kloof Canopy Tours" or rafting in the Blyde River Canyon via "Blyde Canyon Adventure Centre".
About a 5-hour drive from Johannesburg airport. Onward flights from Johannesburg to Hoedspruit are possible with Flyairlink, a great airline from South Africa. From the airport of Hoedspruit it is about 1 hour drive to Tambotie.
