A big attraction of the village is the castle of Orava, which is 10 minutes walk away and where sometimes evenings can be held, music or theater. (the castle can of course also be visited). In the village are also a few tennis courts (gravel), restaurants and cozy cafes. Next to the castle is a small museum and there is also a wooden church in the village. There are also a cinema, sauna, swimming pool, cozy town square, hospital, stadium, etc. There are many hiking opportunities in nature, indicated by routes. There are also many opportunities for skiing, with slopes of varying difficulty and ski schools. The area also attracts many anglers because of the clean river water. At 10 km. distance is the second largest lake in Slovakia. Boat trips to an island in the middle can be made. There are also beaches for swimming or surfing. At about 30 kilometers there is also a thermal bath with slides (Oravice, certainly recommended). Above all, there are many hiking trails (actually in the entire Orava area) that are well marked with routes. Hiking maps of the area can be laid out on request. Hiking trails start in the village (at the castle several paths begin), but also in the Fatra and Tatra mountains it is beautiful hiking. From Arnhem the house is about 1250 kilometers away and is easily accessible via motorways through Germany, the Czech Republic or via Poland.
