Casa Da Oliveira

Casa da Oliveira means house with the olive trees. Our old granite house is located in the small village of Soito de Golfar. It is a spacious house for up to 6 people and has a swimming pool with a beautiful veranda (almost finished) and central heating. 

The house is located in the Alta Beira region, on the borders of the villages of Ras and Vila Longa. Soito de Golfar is a parish in the municipality of Sátão, Portugal. It is located in the Dão-Lafoes in Central Portugal. The Dão region is a beautiful wine region. Small charming villages with narrow streets, horse & carriage, village cafes, local markets and festas are scattered in the green hills with vineyards.

Near our house is Sátão (12 km), a town with various amenities. A little further on is Viseu (32 km), a large city with a market on Tuesdays, nice streets with beautiful shops, good restaurants and a beautiful cathedral.

We bought Casa da Oliveira in 2019 and had it refurbished. We have kept everything in its original state as much as possible. Like the old fireplace in the living room. The house can accommodate up to 6 people. A granite staircase leads upstairs to the living area with a spacious living room and kitchen, 2 bathrooms and 3 bedrooms. 

The living room consists of two parts and there are lots of games to be found and also a bookcase full of books. The kitchen has a dishwasher, Nespresso machine (cups available), refrigerator, gas stove with oven and all other facilities. Outside is a beautiful terrace and garden where you can relax. There is a barbecue. The 4×8 meter saltwater swimming pool with terrace, sun loungers and a veranda with granite BBQ is another place to relax and enjoy. The garden with fruit trees is also a beautiful place.

Casa da Oliveira is walled and is located in the village. It has become a house that makes us happy and warm and hope you have this too. In the middle of Portugal, where you can sometimes go back many years in time. Just look at the mopeds driving around here..... But also the people: tempo elástico they say here. It is an environment of peace, purity, art and culture, hiking opportunities, good weather, and good food and enjoyment. The area is quiet and safe and there is a breathtaking silence and tranquility in the morning and evening. We are still impressed by the beautiful starry sky every time.
