Beaches:
Praia do norte Nazaré: a 15-minute walk. World famous beach with surfers.
Praia de Nazaré: take the 'Nazaré Funicular' 4 minutes from the apartment and arrive at this beach in less than ten minutes.

From the viewpoint on the market square you have a beautiful view over the Atlantic Ocean, the coast and the town. The beach is 110 meters lower. There you can rent beach tents and / or a lounger with umbrella in the summer. Along the main boulevard are many small shops and good (fish) restaurants. Behind the boulevard there are many narrow streets with a square here and there.

Nazaré has one of the oldest fishing traditions of Portugal. The inhabitants of Nazaré often see roasting sardines that come straight out of the sea, a well-known delicacy of Portugal.
