Spacious bedroom on the ground floor in a renovated country house with private bathroom, private terrace & shared kitchen. For guests there is a swimming pool (salt water, 12 x 4 m) with sun terrace.

Terraces and patio overlooking the woods & mountains. In the middle of the Dão wine region, in nature on 1 hectare of private land. Shops, amenities and restaurants are within 5 kilometers. The accommodation is open all year round and has mosquito nets and air conditioning (heating/cooling).

Lugar do Pégo is located in the middle of the wine region of the Dão, with vineyards and wineries 'around the corner' and borders the ecopista - a cycle path of 49 km without any motorized traffic. Mountain bikes can be rented upon prior request. Less than 300 meters away is the river Dinha, clearly audible with its waterfalls. Further along the Dinha and the river Dão there are river beaches where you can swim. With a view of the Serra da Estrela and the Serra da Açor, surrounded by trees and tranquility and 21 kilometers from Viseu and 69 km from historic Coimbra, the accommodation offers all possibilities to be active but also to relax. The Caramulo Mountains are 20 minutes away by car and are suitable for hiking, paragliding, abseiling and has a renowned old-timer museum. The Serra de Estrela is an hour's drive away, as is the sea with several fantastic beaches. There is also a thermal bath with various beauty packages within 15 minutes by car and a golf course with 27 holes within 15 minutes.

Viseu is 21 km from Lugar do Pego and can be reached by bicycle via the ecopista. Coimbra is only 69 km away. Free WiFi throughout the complex. Towels and bed linen are provided. Free parking is available on site.

Lugar do Pégo is also interesting from a gastronomic point of view: a few kilometers away is a famous authentic Portuguese restaurant with Bib Gourmand (Très Pipos), less than 15 kilometers away is the Quinta de Cabriz, also famous for its wines, and less than 20 kilometers away away is the beautiful Quinta (Mesa) de Lemos.
Along the ecopista there are various food and beverage outlets.

The shared kitchen on the 1st floor :   spacious kitchen (27 m2) with wood stove, oven, microwave, ceramic hob, dishwasher, espresso machine, hot water kettle, fridge and freezer, crockery, 2 large dining tables (10 p) with a full-width view of the mountains. Air conditioning.

Of course there is free WiFi and a private parking space. Each bedroom has its own entrance and terrace.

Worth knowing

• A little further on the site is another building with separate entrances & terraces.

• The kitchen is shared with any tenants of the bedroom on the 1st floor.

• Given the height differences on the quinta and the terraces, which are not all fenced, this accommodation may be less suitable for young children.

• The pool is shared by the guests of Lugar do Pego (up to a maximum of 13 people in total).
