It's all possible here: Yoga, surfing, horseback riding, walking along the coastline or simply reading a book with a spectacular view. With the beach and hiking trails of the Rota Vicentina in the backyard, this location offers something for everyone.
This 2-storey house is an eye-catcher in Monte Clerigo! The lower part with large private terrace is for you and the upper apartment is occasionally used by us ourselves. The house has 2 bedrooms, kitchen with breakfast bar, bathroom (with washing machine), living room, large garden and a terrace with sunloungers. There is also a parking space next door, which is very pleasant, especially in high season. Other tourists fight for a parking space and have to go far with their belongings to the beach, while you are within 3 minutes walking distance on the beach.
Through the kitchen you have direct access to the terrace and garden where you will probably spend most of your time. The kitchen is well equipped and has an infrared heater and the living room has a wood burning stove for the colder winter evenings.
As the house is on a hill, you feel majestic, it is a very special place with a lot of charm. A 3-minute walk will take you to the beach, where there are 2 nice restaurants. Aljezur is a 10-minute drive away and here you will find a large supermarket, ATMs, gas station, post office, fresh vegetable market, etc. If you come here for surfing, there is plenty of choice from different beaches nearby such as Amoreira, Arrifana, Amado or Odeceixe. Right behind the house is the well-known Rota Vicentina Trail, the old fisherman's route that starts in Sagres (most southwestern point of Europe and runs halfway to Lisbon. This is a very beautiful route that follows rough, magnificent coastline. We recommend that you walk through the garden to the rocks with a nice glass of wine to enjoy the view and sunset. If you are lucky, you may spot dolphins!
This house is also offered for organizing beach yoga (surf) retreats, and the guests really enjoy the location in nature and the beach nearby, here you can completely relax!
The west coast of the Algarve has only just been discovered and is not overflowing with mass tourism and this is what makes the region so unique and beautiful. Due to its location on the Atlantic Ocean, it is never too hot in the summer, which is why many people choose this place for their summer vacation. Lovely weather, lots to do, and still Portuguese in contrast to the south coast of the ALgarve.
