CASA BORBOLETA
Hidden between the rolling hills of Rogil is Casa Borboleta. A place where peace, nature and attention to detail come together.
The 110 m² house is set on a three-hectare property, just outside Aljezur, with a wide view over the Portuguese countryside. On the spacious terrace you can enjoy a quiet breakfast, a good book or just the pleasant rhythm of the day while the evening sun slowly disappears behind the hills.
Upon entering you immediately step into the spacious kitchen; the heart of the house. Here is plenty of space to cook together, dine extensively or start the day quietly. Through two large arches you look into the cozy living room, where a wood stove provides warmth during cooler evenings. Thanks to the underfloor heating, the house is comfortable all year round. The kitchen is fully equipped with a dishwasher, gas stove, gas oven, microwave and a spacious storage and laundry room with refrigerator.
Casa Borboleta can accommodate five people. The master bedroom has a comfortable double bed (180 × 200 cm) and its own ensuite bathroom. The children's room is playfully divided over two floors: downstairs there is a single room and upstairs two cozy sleeping alcoves with a single bed each. In addition, there is a second bathroom with shower and separate toilet in the hall. Children are very welcome.
Although we live on the same property with our family, at Casa Borboleta you can enjoy all the privacy you need to enjoy your holiday in peace. Our two friendly dogs roam freely around the grounds and are part of daily life in this special place.
Within twenty minutes you can reach some of the most beautiful beaches of the Western Algarve, such as Praia da Carreagem, Praia da Amoreira, Praia de Monte Clérigo and Praia da Arrifana. Whether you come to walk, surf, discover nature or simply do nothing at all; Casa Borboleta is a great base to experience the quiet rhythm of the Algarve.

A few years ago we exchanged the Netherlands for the peace and quiet of the Portuguese west coast. Here we found exactly what we were looking for: nature, simplicity and a place where we can make what we like with our hands.
Together we renovate houses, design and build furniture, Marlene makes ceramics and Jarno captures the world around him with his camera. Everything we create arises from the same love for craft, attention and a quiet life.
Casa Borboleta is the place where all those things come together. A place that we have built with great care and that we are happy to share with anyone who wants to slow down and enjoy, even if only for a moment, a cup of coffee on the terrace, the sounds of the outdoors, a good book or just the quiet rhythm of the day while the evening sun slowly disappears behind the hills.
