Detached villa with private pool located in the area of Sesmarias, Albufeira, just 10 minutes walking distance from the beach. The idyllic beach "Praia da Coelha" is nearby with a cozy small restaurant for a nice drink or lunch by the sea.
The attractive villa is quietly located on a cul-de-sac. It is modernly furnished and fully equipped. The Portuguese fireplace in the living room creates an atmospheric ambiance. In the fenced garden, guests can enjoy the sunbeds and the lawn by the pool. From the various (covered) terraces there is a view of the pool, the surroundings and the sea. The sun terrace on the first floor offers a lot of privacy and also a beautiful sea view.
The lively centre of Albufeira with shops, restaurants and bars is 5 km away. In the vicinity of the villa, (water) sports enthusiasts can enjoy the various possibilities. Within a radius of 30 minutes drive the beautiful golf courses of the Algarve are waiting for you, such as the golf courses of Vilamoura, Oceânico Golf Faldo & Oceânico Golf O'Conner Jnr. The golf course of Herdade dos Salgados is only 3 minutes by car. Faro airport is 35 minutes by car.
The villa sits on 1,000 m2 of private land with the terrace and garden facing south. The roof of the terrace provides pleasant shade. From the modern lounge sofa you have a view of the pool and the sea. The large private swimming pool is over 10 x 5 meters in size and is filtered by a saltwater installation.
A saltwater pool stays fresh longer as algae, fungi and bacteria cannot survive in salt water and you can enjoy swimming water in optimal condition for longer.
Slightly salty swimming water does not differ much from tear fluid, which means that red eyes and irritated skin due to the chlorine are a thing of the past. People who suffer from eczema or a chlorine allergy can still enjoy this luxury at the villa because of a saltwater swimming pool.
The villa has been our property since 2006 and hundreds of guests have preceded you. Since 2019, this villa has been offered through Micazu. All years before that, it was rented out through another large landlord and in 2015, 2017 and 2018 Villa Laranjeira was voted Best Villa in the Spain/Portugal region (about 2,000 villas). Tips for tenants:
Groups with children - The villa has a lot of children's toys and in the very spacious swimming pool there is nice inflatable material and swimming toys. In addition to the child-friendly Coelha beach just a 10-minute walk away, there is plenty to do nearby to make a day even more fun for your children. Less than a 10-minute drive away is the dolphinarium-like Zoomarine (zoomarine.pt).
Furthermore, less than a 15-minute drive away are two fantastic Water Parks: Slide&Splash (slidesplash.com) and Aqualand (aqualand.pt).
For the older youngsters, a day at the Karting Center in Almancil is a must where you can go karting, but also, for example, half a day of cross-country racing with a Sand Buggy (kartingalgarve.com). Furthermore, there is a go-kart track in the underground parking garage at the marina of Albufeira (algarvekarting.com) less than a 5-minute drive away.
Groups with golf enthusiasts - Portugal is a true paradise for golfers. Within a radius of 30 minutes there are dozens of beautiful courses. As an owner, I have had the pleasure of running practically all the tracks one or more times. For the low handicapper, the following courses are particularly suitable: Faldo Course, Vale do Lobo, Victoria, Pinhal, Salgados (only a 3-minute drive from the villa), Boavista and Old Course. For the higher handicapper, the Vilamoura courses Millennium, Vila Sol & Laguna or Pine Cliffs, Silves, Pinta and Gramacho are very suitable.
For very favorably priced green fees, TeeTimes is recommended to use (algarvepackage.com or teetimes.pt) You can reserve a tee time by phone and pay by credit card. The voucher will be sent directly to the course. You can tee off immediately upon arrival!
Groups of cultural admirers - As one of the oldest trading countries, Portugal has a variety of sights and beautiful places. A multitude of travel guides tell you all about this. Various travel guides are also available in the library of the villa. Highly recommended are: Tavira, Silves, Albufeira, Sagres and especially beautiful Cabo de São Vicente (Cape Saint Vincent).
Groups of book lovers - the villa has a large library with over 150 titles. Mainly Dutch but also some English and German books. A list of all titles can be emailed on request. This often saves many kilos in your luggage!
Please note that the villa is not rented to groups of young people. Minimum age is 24 years.
