High above Vale de Parra, lies one of the most comfortable and attractive villas on this (*CONTENT HIDDEN*). Every detail is stylish, every part of furniture and equipment chosen with care. The design includes both modern and Moorish touches; ornate arcades and thick, whitewashed walls, a wide spiral staircase topped with a vaulted ceiling, beautifully woven rugs set on the marble floors in the bedrooms on the first floor.
The kitchen breakfast room is well equipped and the spacious living room has patio doors leading out to the terrace and pool area, as well as all the downstairs bedrooms. There is a wood burning stove and there are electric heaters. The pool area dominates the colourfully landscaped garden and there are views across the surrounding valley to Beach Gale, both from the pool and from the insulated roof terrace. We have to warn you : on this terrace someone has already been asked to marry twice (both accepted!).
The garden gives you a tropical feel with extensive lawns and various exotic plants and trees. On different levels there are private areas and the Thatched pergolas give welcome shade to the pool terrace. There is a lovely barbecue area to the side of the house with a sheltered dining area and views across the surrounding countryside to the Monchique mountain range. Plenty of good restaurants are within five minutes' drive of Elvira, such as São Domingos and O Marinheiro (both have vegetarian dishes on the menu). The pool has been completely renovated and pool heating has been installed. The panorama photo from the roof terrace shows the swimming pool, before it was redesigned. This exceptional villa is highly recommended!
