Our former Portuguese farm consists of two independent houses with private swimming pool. The houses are detached and located on a hill in the middle of the rolling landscape between Paderne and Tunes, wonderfully quiet yet very central to the Algarve.
Only 15 minutes by car from Albufeira with its beautiful beaches, many terraces, restaurants and golf courses. In Tunes, 3 km away, there is a motorway connection and a train station and you will find shops, restaurants, supermarkets and cafes. There is a mini mercado in Vale Pegas, 1 km away.

The spacious main house, the Quinta, has three bedrooms and is fully equipped for groups of up to six people and has several private terraces. The large private swimming pool belonging to the Quinta is sheltered in the garden next to the Quinta.

Our second home, the Cottage, has two bedrooms for four guests and is also fully furnished. In addition to the spacious and sunny terrace in front of the door, this house also has two roof terraces above the garage.
However, use of the swimming pool is reserved for the tenant of the Quinta in case of separate rental.

The Quinta and the Cottage together form a family accommodation for large groups, ideal if you come with two families or friends and each want their own home and privacy, but still want to enjoy the swimming pool and other outdoor activities together.
What could be more pleasant when, for example, you as parents come with your children and their grandparents!

The Quinta and the Cottage can only be rented together in summer 2023 from July 15 to August 31, where you will receive an extra discount of 5% if you book before December 31.

You can book the weeks that are still available directly, but we would like to have contact first before a reservation becomes final.

The Quinta has a combined heating/air conditioning in the living room/kitchen, cooling and heating are included in the price.
There is also a closed wood stove, wood is not included, but if desired we can supply wood for only €3 per basket.
The Cottage is heated with a mobile gas stove, this house also has a large closed wood stove.

Bath towels and beach towels are available in sufficient quantities, as are hand and glass towels and bed linen.

The nearby historic town of Paderne is famous for its Moorish castle, a Roman bridge, the ever-flowing spring with wonderfully cool water that flows into a river where you can also swim, and the beautiful church. The surroundings are a feast for the eyes and are great for walking and mountain biking.
In the reception folder you will find walking routes, including marked walks in the area. For cycling enthusiasts, Willem, as an experienced mountain biker, has created beautiful route descriptions through rural areas, where you can still find a café from time to time for a cup of coffee and something tasty...

One pet is often welcome, upon consultation, for a small additional fee for the cleaning lady.

Bookings from young people only, i.e. without their parents, are not accepted.

We advise you to take out cancellation insurance in case you have to cancel your reservation. We cannot be obliged to return payments made.

By entering into a rental agreement, you also agree to comply with the recommendations of our on-site manager. In particular, the use of the pool cover is mandatory in all seasons.

We have a rental permit and the mandatory complaints book in Portugal (Livro de Reclamações).
