Beach on the Veerse lake (walking distance)
The town hall of Middelburg is an impressive building on the market of the city. Construction started at the end of the fifteenth century and would take about 50 years to complete. The town hall is built in igothic style. Twenty-five statues of Zeeland graves and countesses have been placed on the facade
The Delta Works are a defense system, in the Netherlands, to protect against high water from the sea, in particular the provinces of Zeeland, southern South Holland and North Brabant. The Delta Works have been built for decades.
The Plompe Toren (also called Plompetoren) is a church tower on the Oosterschelde, a few kilometers south of Burgh-Haamstede. The tower (23 meters high) is the only remnant of Koudekerke, a village that has now disappeared in the Oosterschelde on Schouwen-Duiveland. .
