Blommenzee is one of those houses where you immediately feel at home. It is cozy, full of books and the garden celebrates a different party every season. The coffee tastes, for inexplicable reasons, just a little better than at home.
Downstairs you will find a spacious, bright living room with a large dining table for six, a wood-burning fireplace that makes every rain shower a lot cozier, and a sliding door that lets you walk straight into the garden. The kitchen is separate and is like a small dining area in itself. There is a table for four: ideal if you put the children there with a plate of pasta while you can finally finish a conversation in the living room without three times "mom/dad!" in between.
One of the three bedrooms is downstairs, right on the veranda and overlooking the garden. In addition, a compact bathroom with walk-in shower; Very nice, because upstairs there is another bathroom. So you don't get in each other's way, not even during morning rush hour.
Upstairs you will find two more bedrooms with four lovely new box springs. Fresh bedding, windows that can be opened, island air that blows in in the evening. Most people sleep better there than at home.
And the kitchen, which was completely renovated in 2023, has everything your heart desires. Whether you're just making coffee, cooking extensively or are more the type who leans against the counter with a glass of wine and says: "Tomorrow I'll cook."
Blommenzee is located exactly in such a place where you have the best of Texel together: between Den Burg and De Koog, on the edge of the forest. From the house you can walk straight into the greenery, and if you keep walking, you will be in the dune area a little later. The sea is only two kilometers away. The nearest beach is Paal 15. Perfect for a long day at the beach or lunch at the trendy beach club Peek aan Zee.
Within walking distance you will find a small supermarket for quick shopping. And if you don't feel like cooking in the evening, you can walk straight to the Wrestling Tent for a surprisingly good Italian meal. The kind of restaurant where after the first bite you think: maybe we'll do this again tomorrow.
Texel itself is nature that does not scream, but whispers. A gentle wind blows in the dunes that involuntarily calms you down. On the heath, the light shifts so beautifully that you stop for a moment - if only to watch a sheep graze on imperturbably.
Nothing is necessary here. No walking, no photography, no performing. Texel is simple, quiet and real. Nature that does not overwhelm you, but invites you to just be.
