Welcome to the Zouthuis, a wonderful place in the Green Heart to completely relax and also a great base for visiting cities. Amsterdam, The Hague and Utrecht can be reached by car within an hour. Prefer to enjoy nature? The Zouthuis is located along the Amstel in the middle of the lake area. An ideal area for cycling, boating and walking. From the path at the Zouthuis you walk via the Boerenlandpad to Nieuwveen. The Pilgrimspad also runs along Nieuwveen.

Het Zouthuis is a detached chalet located on the Zouthuissluizermolenpad near a truncated watermill. The house has a private terrace surrounded by greenery, a very spacious living room, a well-equipped kitchen, modern sanitary facilities and free internet. In the spacious open loft there is a lovely double bed (Hastens) and downstairs there is a sofa bed for two people. You can stay here completely CONTACT-FREE!

My name is Mariken and I would like to welcome you to the Zouthuis on the Ontmoetgoed. During the week I use this space for coaching and training and on weekends and holidays I rent it out to guests. This way I can share this nice place with as many people as possible. I created this place myself and I am still very happy with it. I hope you, as guests, can enjoy it as much as I do!

Location & area recommendations

Additional information

The house is located near the Amstel, centrally in the Green Heart. In the immediate vicinity you can enjoy cycling, boating and walking or else enjoy nature near the Nieuwkoopse Plassen, the Langerarse Puddles and the Groene Jonker. Within 30 minutes by car you are in Amsterdam, Leiden or Haarlem or at the beach. From the house you can take a nice walk on the Boerenlandpad through the meadows towards Nieuwveen. There are also beautiful hiking areas in the vicinity, including Het Pelgrimspad.

At the end of the Zouthuissluizermolenpad you can easily step onto the Boerenlandpad. A nice path over a dike (here and there a fence that you can / may climb over) with a view over the meadows.

You can rent a sloop along the Amstel, not far from the Zouthuis. Super fun to discover the beautiful sailing routes in the area! https://www.lejosloepverhuur.nl
