Country estate “Het Lageveld” is located next to a beautiful recreational park, approximately 36 hectares. large Lageveld, with sandy beaches and spacious water features with swimming pond, children's pond, surfing pond, jogging tracks and walking paths in greenery. Also take a look at www.landenoverijssel.nl. In the nearby (national) parks, overwhelming forests alternate with vast heathlands. You can experience the unique flora and fauna thanks to the many marked walking, cycling and horse riding routes. The Het Wierdense Veld nature reserve is 3 km from the park. This is a 400 ha. large nature reserve and bird sanctuary. Here you can enjoy walking and cycling. In June and July the heather blooms beautifully. There is also a sheepfold.

Cycling and walking
De Holterberg and the Het Wierdense Veld nature reserve offer numerous options for cyclists and hikers. The Sallandse Heuvelrug National Park is 12 km away. The park consists of extensive forests and beautiful heathlands. You can walk or cycle here to your heart's content. Bicycles can be rented at the park at the reception.

To play sports
For the sports enthusiasts among us, there are various sports options: canoeing on the Regge, mountain biking in the nearby forests or Nordic Walking. Just 3 kilometers from the park there is a pitch & putt with restaurant in Hoge Hexel. There is an 18-hole golf course between Wierden and Rijssen.

Fun for the family
Do you have (grand)children and would you like to go out for a day? You will undoubtedly have fun in Adventure Park Hellendoorn, Pony Park Slagharen or Zoo Emmen. Various information brochures are available at the reception about activities in the Wierden area. There are also nice day trips to Germany.
