Located on the outskirts of Denekamp, near the border with Germany, we invite you to enjoy our complete and luxurious holiday home the Twente way.
De Sombeeck is the perfect base to experience all the beauty that our region has to offer. Discover the bocage landscape of Northeast Twente with the extensive range of cycling and walking routes that lead you through the enchanting Dinkelland in Twente.
Our holiday home De Sombeeck opened its doors in June 2023 and offers a fully independent and luxurious living space in a beautiful country house.
What can you expect?
Upon arrival, you can easily park the car in your own driveway next to the house. Follow the path that leads to the terrace. Here is the entrance to the house. Step through the entrance into a spacious living room with a comfortable sitting area, a spacious dining area and a fully equipped open kitchen.
From the living room you reach the hall. This provides access to the bedroom, a luxurious bathroom and a separate toilet. In the bedroom, the bed is already wonderfully made for you. You will feel right at home! The walk-in closet offers plenty of space for your luggage and has plenty of hanging and putting space for your clothes. All rooms of the holiday home are on the ground floor and are located on the ground floor.
In the utility room there is a freezer, washing machine and dryer that can be booked individually or together per week. By reserving one of these devices, this space is also automatically at your disposal.
The spacious terrace behind the house offers plenty of privacy. On this terrace there is a luxury dining garden set and a parasol. At the back of the garden you will also find a beautiful garden house with veranda. Under this veranda is a nice extra seating area for two people. Here you can relax and enjoy the shade. The garden house is lockable and offers enough space to store and charge several bicycles.

De Sombeeck is centrally located between the picturesque art town of Ootmarsum (10 km), the cozy Hanseatic city of Oldenzaal (10 km), the Lutterzand (7 km), Bad Bentheim Castle (17 km) and the water city of Nordhorn (6 km).
Also explore the breathtaking nature reserves, such as the Springendal near Ootmarsum, the Bergvennen near Lattrop, the Tankenberg near Oldenzaal or arboretum Poort Bulten near De Lutte.
Museum lovers can indulge themselves at Museum Huize Keizer, Museum Natura Docet and the Hennie Kuiper Cycling Museum in Denekamp. Oldenzaal has the historical Museum Oldenzaal to offer in this area and in Ootmarsum you will find the Open Air Museum and the Ton Schulten museum.
Don't forget to discover Singraven Estate, the pearl of Denekamp! Take a tour of the stately Singraven House, visit the beautiful castle garden, the unique water mill, the arboretum and be surprised in the estate shop.
Don't have a bike with you? No problem! Rent a touring bike or e-bike at Broenink Tweewielers in nearby Lattrop and explore the area in an unforgettable way! They also deliver the bikes to our location free of charge.
Durability
Our well-insulated holiday home is heated by a hybrid heat pump. The required electricity is generated by solar panels. All other required energy that we use is green. We also use sustainable LED lighting. Waste is separated into the following categories: glassware, paper, organic waste, PMD and residual waste.
