Our bungalow is located in the spacious bungalow park Bavelds Dennen in Denekamp.
Located near the cozy village of Denekamp.
Denekamp has many unique clothing and accessories stores. The village also has several cozy terraces, eateries and an ice cream parlor with delicious ice cream.
Go cycling through the beautiful surroundings or grab a terrace and enjoy the Twente guest freedom.
By bike you can reach the German city of Nordhorn within 15 minutes from the bungalow. Here you can take a boat trip on the Vechte, enjoy a delicious lunch in the city park, browse the shopping street and much more.

The bungalow is entirely on the ground floor, spaciously furnished, equipped with a high bench and therefore also suitable for seniors.

Schenkerij PoortBulten. A cozy resting point where you can settle down on the terrace or inside the glass-rich building after a walk. The Arboretum is a beautiful natural park where you can enjoy a walk.

Landgoed Singraven is a historic estate that is beautifully situated along the river Dinkel near the village of Denekamp. There are special monumental buildings on the estate, including “Huis Singraven” and the coach house. The surrounding landscape is versatile with its forests, avenues, swamps, fields and the river Dinkel.

Old water mill
You can also visit the old water mill. It is open for viewing and a guided tour from April to October. You can also enjoy a snack and a drink at the restaurant next to the old watermill.

The nickname of this Twente nature reserve is 'The garden of the Netherlands'. This beautiful area with picturesque seepage ponds, waterfalls and narrow streams in the middle of the forest is located near the town of Ootmarsum.

Hills, meadows, lakes, hay meadows, moors and historic farms complete the picture. The Springendal is 335 hectares in size and extends to Vasse (municipality of Tubbergen). Some historic burial mounds can be found there and even the remains of a hunebed.

Textile baron
Around 1920, Springendal was bought by the Enschede textile baron Jannink. He gave the ancient agricultural area the appearance of an estate with many English features. The medieval ash trees (bulb fields that continued to increase in fertilization) are nicely surrounded by trees and are included in the whole. There are also a number of fantastic Twente farms.

Sources and streams
Springendal has a structure of avenues and water. In addition to the monumental Avenue de Mosbeek, which a number of side lanes lead to, the character of the estate is determined by sources and streams. Bubbling water forms three ponds, which in turn feed the Springendalsebeek.

The Springendal is a beautiful nature reserve for walking or cycling.

It is not surprising that it is for sale on the Weerselose Markt: from old items in the attic to new consumer goods and from second-hand clothing to valuable pottery and decorative work. There are also traders of ordinary weekly markets, including sellers of (exotic) fresh food. The facilities for this have been constructed directly opposite and adjacent to the 2.5 hectare market area. The market is also accessible by public transport and by local bus.

* Partially covered Part of the market area is covered. Among other things, there is a restaurant here, where you can enjoy a snack and a drink. There is also a large play paradise with a bouncy castle, so that parents can enjoy a cup of coffee on the terrace at their leisure. There is therefore something to do for everyone on the market (our site is wheelchair-friendly!). Dogs are allowed (on a leash). You are very welcome at the Weerselose Markt!

* Market days. Weekly Saturday market: Every Saturday from 8.30 am to 2 pm. Monthly Sunday afternoon market: Every 2nd Sunday of the month from 12:00 to 17:00 (in winter until 16:00).

Wonderryck Twente, THE wonderfully active museum in Denekamp for the whole family. Where you come face to face with the beauty of the beautiful Twente landscape and animal kingdom.

* Go on an adventure and be amazed about the special collection of animals in the Wonder Rooms, build your own digital forest in Funky Forest, discover nature in 3D and enjoy the beautiful museum garden and the landscape of North East Twente.

Ootmarsum is the oldest town in Twente with a rich history of which the authentic character has been preserved. In addition to the protected cityscape, Ootmarsum has more than 30 national monuments.

* The winding streets with beautiful houses, monumental buildings, original shops and especially the countless art galleries make this picturesque town so special. Visual art can be found not only in the galleries, but also on the street.

* Numerous activities are organized throughout the year in Ootmarsum and the surrounding area.

Directly across the border in Germany is the city of Nordhorn, a cross-border shopping city with versatile shopping and recreational opportunities. The town of Nordhorn is the center of the Grafschaft Bentheim. A former textile city that has developed into a beautiful center with a versatile range and attractive shops. The modernly designed city center with its small boutiques, specialty shops, department stores, restaurants and cafés make the town of Nordhorn well worth a visit. But also for activities you will not be short of anything in Nordhorn with a wave pool, bowling alley, indoor go-kart track, indoor ice rink and a zoo.

* Canal boats & pedal boats on the Vechtesee
* The river Vecht meanders on all sides around the center of Nordhorn. Enjoy the city and nature from a different perspective: Take a trip on the water! Canoe boat and pedal boat tours are offered on the Vecht which lead you through the center of the city of Nordhorn, among other things. You can also take a trip on the Vechtesee with the pleasure boats “Vechtestromer” and “Vechtesonne”.

Oosterik garden center, 50,000 m2 of inspiration
If you would like to have a wide choice of garden items, flowers, house plants and home accessories, you should definitely spend a day shopping at Oosterik Garden Center in Denekamp. With more than 50,000 m2 of home and garden products, Oosterik is a unique experience. In the different departments you can choose from a wide range of well-known and lesser-known brands. You will without a doubt find what you are looking for in the field of garden items or home accessories. After all, garden center Oosterik is one of the largest garden centers in the Netherlands for a reason.

Opening hours: Tuincentrum Oosterik is open every day during the following opening hours. Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Oosterik Garden Center is open every Sunday. Also on special holidays such as Pentecost, King's Day and Ascension Day.

The beautiful Nordhorn Zoo (D) is located 10 km from the bungalow. *This zoo is home to 2000 animals of 100 different species. Each animal has its own character and is easy to see in its own way. From the small bees in the apiary to the large chimpanzees. During a walk through the zoo there is plenty to see for young and old. *Not unimportant, for a day entrance for adults you only pay € 11.50 Children up to 4 years are free and up to 16 years € 7,- A special rate of € 10.50 also applies to students and pensioners. also affordable. Highly recommended and another advantage, the zoo is open 365 days a year.

Do you want to be active with the children?
Klimbos Het Hulsbeek is the perfect place! Playground, cable car, climbing and scrambling over small streams. There is plenty to do for all ages up to 10 years old.

* In the summer you can enjoy swimming in the large pond, sand castles can be built on the beach or you can enjoy climbing on the waterfront.

*A big advantage. Het hulsbeek has a very neat toilet building in the center of the site and a drinking water tap.

Theehuis Dennenoord is located at one of the most beautiful locations in Twente, between Vasse and Ootmarsum. Het Theehuis is an original wooden building from 1921 where nostalgia meets modern times. Het Theehuis is located between the woods and is an ideal place to rest after a lovely walk or bike ride.

* Be surprised by the specialty of Theehuis Dennenoord: The homemade High Tea. A real tea meal with various savory treats in addition to scones, teabread, sandwiches and cake. You will also receive a delicious starter inspired by the season.

* After your cycling or hiking trip, settle down on the terrace for a traditional Afternoon Tea. Here scones are served with clotted cream and home-made jam, sandwiches and tea sweets.

* You are also very welcome at Theehuis Dennenoord for lunch or a piece of delicious cake from our own kitchen. * Also take a look at the 'The Shop' where you can find, among other things, delicious tea, but also tea service, jam and interior items.

* Bistro Restaurant de Search, known for its highly appreciated kitchen, excellent hospitality and of course the right price-quality ratio.

* At 1.5 km from the Bavelds dennen bungalow park you will find Bistro de Search. The Search is not only tasting but also experiencing. Both middle class and culinary level with beautiful dishes and wines. All this in a gastronomic experience, topped with the tasteful sauce of Twente hospitality and cordiality!
