We are a Dutch family with four children who enjoy staying in Schoorl with great pleasure. During the holiday periods we can often be found in France, so we rent out our house for a number of weeks in the year. The house is situated in a beautiful spot on a cul-de-sac, which turns into a bicycle route to the village. Klimduin and the shopping center are less than a five-minute walk from us.

Relaxing in nature Schoorl offers long routes for walkers and cyclists to enjoy the beautiful nature for hours. Each season has its own atmosphere and the experience of this changes time and time again. Relaxing is what you do in Schoorl. And if you want to look for a little more crowds, Bergen or Alkmaar are worth a visit. The highest dune Although people always talk about the fact that Schoorl has the highest dune, it appears that the Schoorl forest ranger of Staatsbosbeheer recently measured with the most modern and ingenious measuring equipment that a dune top, just behind the climbing dune of Groet, reaches higher than the dune in Schoorl.
