That Mijzenpolder a particular piece of ground we already knew. Through the years, we come to know more and more about its history. Did you know that? - The Polder Mijzen has been named the ninth geological monument in North - Holland? - That this piece of polder is the least affected area in North Holland and the symbol of National Landscape Laag Holland. - The small Mijzenpolder to hear the other side of the Beemsterringvaart along with Schermereiland the 'old country' between the polders Beemster and Schermer. - It is a paradise for bird watching and an average of 250 pairs godwits reside who are fond of our succulent peat? - It used to be a small village 'West Mijzen' was who in 1050 founded their own church dedicated to Mary. - That Vrouwenweg owes its name to the Lady Chapel (from 1347 to 1744) who has stood here in the middle of the country. - The Lady Chapel was not just a church but an important pilgrimage site, which was visited in the Middle Ages by "distinguished visitors". - It also is listed as a pilgrimage at the Meertens Institute along with 105 other pilgrimage sites in the Netherlands. - The Anna Hoeve is named after a spicy lady Anna Schipper (1887-1962) a real village character who for years ran a dairy farm with her son and servant Hein. - There is a book written about the Mijzenpolder by Dick Mantel. Itself living in this polder. - The magic of bygone days here is palpable ... - It is therefore very suitable for weekend wokshops and cusussen like mindfulness, tantra, yoga, retreats and other workshops on personal development. You really come here to rest and can recharge your batteries.

Review niet afkomstig vanuit een Micazu boeking
Some of our hosts have not yet received any, or only a few, reviews from renters who booked via Micazu. To still provide you with sufficient information about the accommodation, they have the option to have a few reviews written by renters who have previously stayed in the accommodation but booked their stay via another channel. These submitted reviews are monitored by us. Do you doubt whether a review meets our guidelines? Then you can report it here.
