Julianadorp aan Zee
Julianadorp aan Zee is a beautiful coastal town and is located near Den Helder and Callantsoog.
There is plenty to do in and around Julianadorp.
For example, you can take the children to Sprookjeswonderland or the spectacular Klim Vallei.
Take surfing lessons at the local surf school on the beach and try to keep your balance on the water.
Or take a long beach ride on horseback along the coast with the setting sun.
There are also countless activities to undertake on the mainland. Work on your handicap at Golfbaan Ooghduyne on the 9-hole golf course,
go for a swim in the covered subtropical swimming pool, or opt for an evening of bowling or mini golf.

Tranquility seekers can indulge themselves in Julianadorp aan Zee. The view alone calms you down. Dunes, wide fields, the horizon above the North Sea. The characteristic Dutch landscape turns red, yellow and purple in the spring months due to the flowering bulb fields. And behind those fields you can see the dunes where you can cycle and walk endlessly. Most people go to the beach by bicycle (if you prefer the convenience of the car, park it for free in the spacious car park).

Only 2 km away from the 2 pleasant shopping centers of Julianadorp.
Den Helder is 8 km away, where there are many shops, cozy terraces, museums, cinema and much more.
From there you can also take the boat to Texel to spend a day there. The cozy Callantsoog is also 8 km away.

The Marine Museum is located on the Oude Rijkswerf, also known as Willemsoord. The site belongs to the Royal Netherlands Navy, which still has some buildings in use. You can also start your journey through the Navy Museum in the elongated building on the Westgracht: the Geschutmakerij. There is also a cash register here, next to the museum shop. In this building you will find exhibitions about the modern navy and the history of the shipyard. In the exhibition Battle of the Sea! experience the Journey to Chatham (1667) and the Battle of the Java Sea (1942). Before this building was put into use as an artillery workshop in 1915, it served as a warehouse for sawn wood products and oak planks, among other things.
