Our holiday home on the beautiful quiet and green park Dirkshoeve was completely renovated in 2023 and very comfortably equipped with solar panels and hybrid heat pump. The very spacious living room is also good to stay in less beautiful weather thanks to the underfloor heating and the cozy pellet stove, not to mention the games and puzzles in the cupboard. The beautiful and very spacious garden is our pride and joy and to the great pleasure of our (grand) children equipped with swing, sandbox, toys and a large lawn. The new kitchen is equipped with all modern appliances such as dishwasher, oven, microwave, Nespresso machine, milk frother, coffee machine, toaster and hand blender. In short, a wonderful family home that we would like to share with others.

Bed linen and towels are included. So don't make beds, the holiday can start immediately.

There are 2 bedrooms, one of which is equipped with a double bed (1.60 x 2.00) and the other with two single beds (90 x 2.00). Both rooms have their own wardrobe and are directly adjacent to the bathroom.

For the car there is a private parking space near the house.
In the barn there are two free to use bicycles, old but well maintained and fine to use for shorter distances.

There is plenty to do in the area all year round. Cycling and walking in the immediate vicinity with picturesque villages such as Valkkoog or Groenveld. Within walking distance is a recreational lake where you can fish or swim and a golf course (18 holes) where the enthusiast can hit a ball. If the weather is not so good, a visit to the historic cities of Schagen (4 km) or Alkmaar (14 km) is very worthwhile. And of course all year round there are the beautiful North Holland dunes with the wide beaches (12 km) for a brisk walk or just to relax.
In the spring, the bulb fields are a very popular destination. Really enjoy, especially in combination with a visit to the Poldertuin and Hoenderdael animal park in Anna Paulowna.

By train or car, a day trip to Texel or a visit to the harbour towns of Hoorn, Enkhuizen and Medemblik is definitely worthwhile.

We, Feyko and Joke, are retired and have exchanged our house in Alkmaar for an apartment in Amsterdam. Fortunately, we don't have to miss our beloved North Holland with its green expanse and beautiful coast. Thanks to our holiday home, we can often go outside and children and grandchildren have the space to play to their heart's content. A real family home that we like to share with others. Together with Anne, our daughter-in-law, we ensure a carefree holiday for our guests

Explanation of the prices & cancellation policy

If the renter wishes to cancel the booking for any reason, the renter must always confirm this by e-mail to the landlord (even if this has already been communicated to the landlord by telephone, for example). The landlord will charge the following amounts, depending on the date of written cancellation by the tenant:

cancellation more than 3 months before the start of the rental period: free of charge
Cancellation between the 90th and the 60th day before the start of the rental period: 25% of the rental price
Cancellation between the 59th and the 30th day before the start of the rental period: 50% of the rental price
cancellation less than 30 days before the start of the rental period: 100% of the rental price

If the tenant only announces on the start date or during the rental period that he will not make any use of the leased property, he will continue to owe the full rent.
