Holiday home Het Voorhuis (2 - 8 persons) is located in the outskirts of the Brabant village of Herpen. It is an ideal place to recover from the hectic everyday life with family or friends.
You can completely relax on the terrace, with a wide view over the countryside. When the weather is not so good, you can relax in the cozy living room or at the dining table in the kitchen. There is plenty of room for children to play in the large garden.

The wood-fired hot tub can be booked with the stay. Inquire about the possibilities.

Even if you need more activity, you are in the right place. The Voorhuis is a nice base for walking and cycling trips. It is even located on a national horse riding route. The Voorhuis has 2 stables at home. A large meadow (divided into 2 sections) and a drive-in arena are also located at home. Your horse trailer can be parked on site. The nearby Herperduin nature reserve gives you every opportunity to make forest and outdoor rides. The Boundless Horseback Riding in the Euregio Rhine-Waal Route runs past the Guesthouse. Care ponies are available for the children. On a pony safari or walking with the ponies is also one of the (free) possibilities. It is also possible to delve into the psyche of a horse and what this does to the human being by means of a clinic to be organized.
The area is perfect for hiking and cycling. You can explore the Brabant farmland or you can wander around for hours in beautiful nature: Het Voorhuis is located near the Herperduin and De Maashorst nature reserves, with their vast forests, heath and fens. If you are lucky, you will meet a herd of Tauross, Exmoor ponies or bison, which ensure natural grazing of these areas.
If you go the other way, you can get a breath of fresh air on the Maasdijk and visit the historic fortified towns of Ravenstein, Grave and Megen, all three within cycling distance and all three definitely worth a visit!

Workation

Would you like to make the best of teaching your children at home, working from home yourself, but in an inspiring place full of peace and space? We have three rooms in Het Voorhuis where you can work at the table with your laptop. In addition, a studio where you can really make progress to work in peace. The children can romp around in the garden, help with the ponies and take care of the chickens! And jump on the mega trampoline for hours, while you can keep an eye on them from the window.
