Covid19 has made us look at our own living environment with different eyes and we have (re)discovered how beautiful Limburg actually is in many areas such as nature, culture, but also catering and activities. As a result, we decided at the beginning of 2021 to buy a beautiful holiday home on the edge of the Maasplassen in Stevensweert to let other people enjoy all the beauty that Limburg has to offer.
Our house has a living room/kitchen, two bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and a spacious garden with lots of privacy. The house has a kitchen including microwave, refrigerator, freezer, kettle and Nespresso coffee machine. In the cozy living room you will find a nice TV on which the standard Ziggo channels can be seen and of course the house is equipped with wifi.
The holiday park is located on the Maasplassen and from our house you can walk to a sandy beach in 3 minutes where you can swim.
In the vicinity of the house (max 3 km) you will of course find, in addition to the Maasplassen, the beautiful Hompesche Molen (between Stevensweert and Ohé en Laak), the ruin in Ohé en Laak and don't forget to taste the delicious Laaker Boere Ies (ice cream) when you walk or cycle towards the ruin. You can then cross the Meuse by bicycle ferry to explore the Belgian side of the Meuse. A little further away you will find the Outlet in Roermond and more to the south the beautiful Maastricht and the South Limburg hills in Valkenburg or the three-country point in Vaals. In short, too many to mention. As a welcome gift, there are a few cups of coffee and tea (make 😊 it yourself) and a small snack waiting for you.
