The Nieuwhuys

The Nieuwhuys is the original home of the historic Nieuwhuys farm from 1730. It is located in the middle of the beautiful South Limburg landscape, surrounded by trees, fields and meadows. The farm is a national monument and recognizable by the striking walls with characteristic layers of bacon: marl interspersed with centuries-old bricks. The Nieuwhuys is part of the hamlet of Terstraten, a protected village that is known for its attractive, characteristic half-timbered farms and the rolling landscape of South Limburg.

Thanks to its location on the plateau, you can enjoy a beautiful and panoramic view of the surroundings from the house. The Nieuwhuys is also located directly on the Pieterpad, the Pelgrimspad and the cycling network of South Limburg. An ideal place for lovers of walking, cycling and horseback riding, with plenty of opportunities for beautiful trips through the Limburg hills. The Nieuwhuys is also an excellent base for a day out to cities and sights such as Maastricht, Heerlen, Valkenburg, Liège and Aachen.

The Nieuwhuys is a spacious, attractive and cosily furnished semi-detached house of approximately 250 m², with room for up to 11 people. The house has a well-equipped, separate kitchen with dining area, a cozy dining room and an attractive front room with wood stove. The combination of space, comfort and authentic details creates a special place to enjoy and unwind together.

In front of the house there is parking for three cars. On one side is a beautifully landscaped, sunny garden with terrace, perfect for sitting outside and enjoying the surroundings. On the other side is an authentic, spacious and sunny courtyard with complete privacy. In the characteristic gatehouse, bicycles and other belongings can be stored safely and covered.

The house has five bedrooms: two double rooms, one room with bunk beds, one single room and a spacious bedroom with a fixed double bed and two additional single beds. This means that the Nieuwhuys offers plenty of space for families and groups who want to enjoy a stay together in the South Limburg landscape.

In addition, there are two bathrooms. There are also extra sinks in several bedrooms and in other rooms, which makes the stay extra comfortable for larger groups.

This makes the Nieuwhuys a unique place where history, space, comfort and the characteristic South Limburg landscape come together.
