The "NIeuwhuys" is the original home of the Nieuwhuys farm from 1760 and is surrounded by trees, fields and meadows. The farm is a national monument with striking walls, so-called bacon layers (marl alternating with old bricks), and is part of the hamlet of "Terstraten", a protected village view with old half-timbered farms in hilly Limburg. Because the house is located on the plateau, it has a beautiful panoramic view from all sides. It is located directly on the Pieterpad, the Pelgrimspad and the cycling network South Limburg. This makes it a very good base for beautiful cycling, walking and equestrian tours, but also for day trips to, for example, Maastricht, Heerlen, Valkenburg, Liège and Aachen.
