Nature, peace and space. . Welcome to Hof Caerdebeeck!
A square farmhouse from 1269, owned by the monastery of St. Gerlach for centuries, with a unique historical history. Recently put back into rental. You stay in the heart of this national monument; in the original farmhouse.
You enter the house through a private authentic entrance on the ground floor. This entrance is the oldest part of the farm and exudes its own unique atmosphere thanks to the marl stone walls with a trough-vaulted ceiling. The mantelpiece from 1625 still contains the original ornaments. Formerly a fireplace, with wall hooks for meat and simmering pans, now a cozy sitting area around the wood stove.
You reach the first floor via the entrance. At the top of the stairs to your right is a modern kitchen with refrigerator, dishwasher, oven, filter coffee and Nespresso machine and dining table for 6 people. On the left is the central hall that gives access to three spacious bedrooms, two bathrooms and a second sitting room with smart TV. The bedrooms have a total of 6 windows, two of which overlook your terrace and private garden, one over the sheep stable, two over the driveway with flower bed and one over the horse stable.
The kitchen and sitting room overlook the attractive courtyard , with a pond with water lilies and goldfish. On a clear night you can enjoy a Full Moon. Due to the reflection of the heat within the four wings, the courtyard is approximately 2 degrees warmer than the environment outside. Add this to the fact that South Limburg is on average 3 degrees warmer than the rest of the Netherlands and you are - without mosquitoes - about 5 degrees more comfortable here than at home.
The white door at the rear of the entrance leads to a spacious private garden , which consists of three parts: On the wall is a tiled terrace with table, parasol and barbecue, so you can eat outside and enjoy the last of the sun. Next to it is a lawn with a step to a sheltered spot under two spruce trees, where every now and then you can see a few squirrels climbing up around the trunk. At the back of the garden a gate leads to the orchard, where the sheep graze. You are free to stroll around here, pet the lambs and pick fruit from the cherry and apple trees.
Your child or dog cannot escape. The garden is completely fenced.
